King the Land Overview

King the Land (킹더랜드) is a rom-com Kdrama that brings the story of an heir and an employee who works at one of the hotels owned by his family. Directed by Im Hyun-wook, the drama stars Lee Jun-ho, Lim Yoon-a (Yoona), Go Won-hee, Kim Ga-eun, Ahn Se-ha, and Kim Jae-won, alongside other cast members.

The drama brings the story of the heir Goo Won who has been thrown into an inheritance war, and the happy Cheon Sa-rang, whose smile moves him like no other. As the two begin to spend more time together, a beautiful love begins to bloom in their story.

Lee Jun-ho was last seen on The Red Sleeve as Yi San / King Jeongjo, while Yoona played audience-favourite Go Mi-ho in 2022’s hugely popular Big MouthKing the Land takes over the jTBC’s Saturday-Sunday 22:30 PM KST time slot previously occupied by Doctor Cha.

Netflix’s synopsis of the show reads: “Amid a tense inheritance fight, a charming heir clashes with his hardworking employee who’s known for her irresistible smile — which he cannot stand.”

Directed by Im Hyun-wook, the drama stars Lee Jun-ho, Im Yoon-ah, Go Won-hee, Kim Ga-eun, Ahn Se-ha, and Kim Jae-won, alongside other cast members.

The love scandal is out! Now, Sa-rang and Gu Won have to face the consequences which means facing a lot of questions and in Gu Won’s case, facing the disapproval of the board members. However, this does not affect their relationship and Il-hoon decides to step into the situation. What will be the result of this chaos?

King the Land Episode 13 Recap

Sa-rang asks Gu Won for some time to think after the incident of her serving him and the others present at his house. This leaves Gu Won worried and thinking that she might be thinking of breaking up with her. However, Sa-rang soon clarifies to him that she needed time to think about the fact that the peak of her job is working at a wealthy man’s house as a maid.

This leaves Gu Won sighing with relief as he tells Sa-rang that he will never let go of her. With this matter settled, Gu Won puts his all into the presentation and is able to win over Il-hoon who immediately hands over the position of president of King Hotel to Gu Won. Hwa-ran is not convinced by this, meanwhile, Sa-rang is called to spend time with Ji-hu by Il-hoon at his grandson’s request.

Sa-rang realises that the young boy has a lonely aura and tells Gu Won about this. Gu Won then approaches his nephew and decides to spend time with him, thus, resulting in the three going for a picnic. Following this, Gu Won faces the truth about why he was abandoned and finally lets go of his obsession.

He tells Sa-rang about this and also about his wish to not meet his mother. Sa-rang respects his wishes and the two share a heartwarming moment together, unaware that they are being photographed.
