Enigma Plot

When a top student, Fa, notices that her classmates Matt and Wan died mysteriously, she realises that she is the next victim as she is the third top-scoring pupil at the school. When she finds evidence proving the new teacher Ajin isn’t who he claims to be, Ajin reveals the truth to her about the curse on the school that’s run by a magician. Fa and Ajin unite to find the culprit and put an end to the deadly spell.

Enigma Episode 3 Recap

The episode starts with Fa running away from Namsine as per the orders of Ajin on call. Then we see a flashback showing how a depressed Namsine receives a text from an occult. She receives a parcel at her doorstep that contains the glass shard mask. It is from then on, she started to do the works of the cult.

During the run and chase, Fa drops her mobile phone. Ajin finds it hard to help her escape without communicating on the phone and so he rushes back to the school. Thankfully, on time, he saves Fa from Namsine. Namsine jumps and runs away. Fa tries to stop Ajin but the latter demands her to listen to him. Back at their home, Fa patches up Ajin’s wounds. Ajin asks Fa why despite knowing from the start that Namsine was the witch, she remained quiet. Fa breaks down leaving Ajin feeling helpless.

To help her calm down, Ajin takes her out to eat. They both spend some quality time before Fa once again feels hurt knowing the fact her ex-best friend is the deadly killer. Ajin then does an astral projection craft on her and makes her witness a surreal experience. Both of them astral project and sit on top of a building. Fa starts opening up about Namsine to Ajin.

Fa met Namsine at school where they both bonded over drawings. They both were super close until one day Namsine’s mother called them both for dinner. Over there, Namsine’s mother acts super cold after knowing that her daughter got lesser marks than Fa. After encountering the cold welcome, Fa leaves for her home. On her way back, Fa remembers that her keychain is missing so she returns to Namsine’s house.

As she picks up her keychain, she witnesses Namsine’s mother abusing her violently. This pushes Fa to stay away from Namsine and since then they’ve not been speaking for years. Back to the present day, Fa cries to Ajin and says that if only she had helped Namsine from the abuse she wouldn’t have been in this position.

Ajin then tells Fa about the white arts and the black arts. He also mentions the Enigma cult and why he is searching for the main culprit. After their conversation about Namsine, they snap back to reality. The next day, Ajin visits Namsine’s house. He confronts her mother as a teacher and learns that she’s cursed as well. When he goes upstairs to find Namsine, he understands that she’s already out of the house to kill Fa who is at the school library.

Enigma Episode 3 Review

The series has been doing so well with the stunning cast, intriguing story, and after-effects. In this particular episode when Ajin and Fa were seen flying in the sky, it did make me laugh because it looked quite unrealistic but since this is a black magic-based series, it makes sense. Moreover, they weren’t literally flying as Ajin hypnotised her into believing that she was flying.

We’re yet to find out about the occult and the reason behind them killing people. Since Namsine is just a part of the cult, there’s definitely a bigger villain.
