– Inspector Avinash Episode 1 Review Contains No Spoilers –
The first episode starts with a group of thugs carrying weapons and looking ready to attack the police station. Just when the cops think they’re done for good, the gangsters reveal that they have come to surrender. On asking the reason behind the thugs’ change of heart, they reveal that it is better to serve in jail than die at the hands of Avinash Mishra.
We’re introduced to the series lead character Inspector Avinash Mishra who is an STF specialist and encounter expert. Moving on to the present time, Avinash is facing charges at the court for killing 3 criminals under intoxication. We have no idea who they are and why Avinash shot them dead. To get the backstory, the character himself narrates to the viewers that only if we see the entire series we will know the hidden mystery.
We’re taken back in time when we find out that the Special Task Force (STF) is set up to protect the Chief Minister. Apparently, Avinash is a skilled officer, and he is recruited into the team as well as appointed as its lead. The storyline is based on a real incident that took place in Uttar Pradesh, and the first episode is just a start.

We soon will have a picture that terrorism is happening at UP, and the police are in pursuit of making the city crime free. How well is Avinash and his team going to do? Will he endure any danger? Why is he at the court facing charges, and what’s happening inside his family? All these questions will be answered further.
The episode keeps one active with the introduction of new characters, dark humour, action scenes, etc. It isn’t a typical action thriller where a cop is always fighting and looking tough. Rather Avinash seems like a chill pal with a good sense of humour and strong willpower. He plans out well and works out his missions.
The co-actors are doing a good job as well, especially Radhe Maa’s son Harjinder Singh. The first episode only raises curiosity to know what’s going to happen between Avinash and the bad guy who has suddenly disappeared. The editing of the series is all good; however, they have to focus on the dubbing.

In certain places, the mixing and mastering of the dubbing vocals seem absurd. It feels like right after one person’s dialogue, the dubbed track is cut, making it look unprofessional. Sound engineers will know exactly what I’m talking about. I could hear the white noise during the dialogues, and it gets cut abruptly without adding the fade effect. Hopefully, the team will rectify this issue.
Inspector Avinash Episode 1 Review: Final Thoughts
Honestly, this is a good start. There is a generous amount of action which isn’t too exaggerated. I like how the comedy flavour is seamlessly added in to make the episode vibrant and not too gloomy. Randeep Hooda is carrying his role with might and chill, so kudos to him.
