In House of the Dragon Season 2, Episode 4, tensions escalate towards a pivotal conflict culminating in the Battle at Rook’s Rest. Criston Cole makes strategic moves for the Greens by capturing key castles like Rosby, Stokeworth, and Duskendale. Meanwhile, Aegon’s frustration grows as Criston acts independently, secretly plotting with Aemond to seize Rook’s Rest—a seemingly insignificant castle on the crownlands’ coast. Feeling powerless, Aegon seeks empowerment by riding his dragon, Sunfyre, to the battleground.
Simultaneously, Rhaenyra returns to Dragonstone, preparing her dragons for battle. Rhaenys volunteers and heads into the fray. However, Criston and Aemond’s plan unfolds with Aemond luring out a dragon, aiming to turn the tide of battle.
