Heeramandi Teaser: A Glimpse of the Sparkling World of Courtesans Like We Never Knew!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is back with another awestriking tale with Heeramandi where he shows us the glamorous and forever shining world of courtesans who were the queens of their world. Taking us to another world and another era, the filmmaker brings this new magic on Netflix which is ready to leave us all breathless.

The upcoming web series has already got fans intrigued with the beautiful cast and the sparkling plot, however, the newly released teaser of Heeramandi is what has left us all wanting more. With such spectacular beauty shown under such beautiful lights, it is a given that this web series is soon to win our hearts.

The teaser shows Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sonakshi Sinha dressed beautifully in their glamorous attire ready to take over the hearts of many. Their graceful movements and capturing expressions really bring out the looks of courtesans and we cannot wait to know more about the upcoming show.

When talking about Heeramandi, Bhansali speaks about how the lives of courtesans brought about this idea in his mind about 14 years back which has remained with him all this while. Their lives weren’t just glamorous but also held the kind of power which had Nawabs, politicians, and British officers, all at their beck and call.

They were more than just immensely talented women who displayed their music, dance, poetry, and more to the many spectators, but their story is yet to be fully revealed. This part of creating Heeramandi did show up as a challenge for Bhansali, but that did not stop him from finally creating this mesmerising show that has already captured our hearts.

Bhansali also speaks of how he let go our the binds of his imagination and began the making of the show, starting from a song to casting the beautiful women in the show, and moving forward to combining this image with reality. He also emphasises the different stories these women hold in the show and how they disguise their anguish, heartbreaks and inner feelings to put forth their best in front of everyone.

Finally, the result of all this is a beautiful and mesmerising tale of women who hold power and strength like no other. This is what we now look forward to soon witnessing as their stories are ready to leave us in tears and wanting more.
