Heavenly Delusion Episode 3 Predictions; How Latest Twist Raised Queries

Yes, we are here to make Heavenly Delusion Episode 3 Predictions after the one which left us with multiple questions.

Heavenly Delusion or Tengoku Daimakyo (天国大魔境) is adapted from the manga series of the same name by Masakazu Ishiguro. Produced by Avex Pictures and from Production I.G studio, the plot of the series surrounds the life of citizens post an unprecedented disaster that completely destroyed modern civilization.

Distributed by Disney platforms, the show is directed by Hirotaka Mori, and Kensuke Ushio gives the music. The episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

Set in a world where following a catastrophic event which is named the ‘Collapse’, civilisation struggles to survive amidst the lonely terrain. Two sections have been shown where both worlds are unaware of each other’s existence. One exists within the safety of walls, devoid of any danger or depravity, whereas the other showcases the depleted version of society, desperately scavaging for basic resources.

In the outside world, two teenagers, Maru and Kiruko, are seen surviving in the ruthless city. They are met with many dangers as they walk around to seek shelter. From humans to otherworldly creatures, threats follow them from each side. Meanwhile, a small group of students reside inside the walls and are given every facility and opportunity to improve their mental and physical skills.

Heavenly Delusion Episode 3 Predictions

After Maru and Kiruko take down the monster that had been lurking outside the inn, they continue their journey across the city and arrive at a farm owned by a community of people. They seek shelter, and some secrets start to pour out. Maru confesses his feelings for Kiruko, but she instantly rejects it. She also makes a confession that leaves leads to more questions. On the other hand, some weird events start to occur among the students residing inside the walls.

Superhuman capabilities

An ample amount of incidents has convinced the viewers that something weird and unconventional is happening behind the walls. Secretive locations and cryptic conversations among the students indicate that something deeper is going on. However, the incident that both shocked and confirmed our doubts is after a student tries to climb up a pillar with the help of two mini robots. Midway, the robots lose their power, and the student falls down dramatically, but no injury is inflicted upon him. Instead, a nosebleed occurs on another student after the impact.

This convinces us that the students have some capabilities that normal humans do not. Is it possible that experiments have been conducted on them? Or are they genetically superior beings due to drastic evolutionary changes after the “Collapse”? Only time will tell.

The confession

Maru finally confirms the viewers’ doubts and confesses his feelings towards Kiruko. He tells her that he has liked her from the beginning and wishes to stay on the farm instead of trying to find ‘Heaven’. However, she rejects his proposal and makes a confession on her own. This forces us to question if their relationship dynamic will change in the coming episodes or if they going to forget the incident and move on.

Kiruko’s past

So far, not much about Kiruko’s life is revealed apart from that she was recruited by Maru’s family to protect him. However, while they are at the farm, a residential man reveals that he recognises her. He asks him if she was a racer before the apocalypse, and she denies it completely. But looking at the picture that he reveals of her, it somewhat resembles her except for the hair colour. He also mentions about her brother but is cut off mid-conversation by Maru.

Later, she confesses to Maru that she only appears to be a girl from the outside but is actually a boy from the inside. It leaves not just the viewers but Maru confused as well. It raises the question about Kiruko’s gender identity, is it body dysmorphia? Or is it possible that Kiruko was born a boy and switched bodies with a girl? It can also be fairly speculated that perhaps someone conducted experiments on her as well. Nevertheless, it is hard to decipher the real answer.
