Heavenly Delusion Overview

Heavenly Delusion or Tengoku Daimakyo (天国大魔境) is adapted from the manga series of the same name by Masakazu Ishiguro. Produced by Avex Pictures and from Production I.G studio, the plot of the series surrounds the life of citizens post an unprecedented disaster that completely destroyed modern civilization.

Distributed by Disney platforms, the show is directed by Hirotaka Mori, and Kensuke Ushio gives the music. The episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

Starting on a fun note, the episode manages to make us go through an amalgamation of high and low emotions. As per the last episode, the robots started to conduct tests on the students, which will lead them to the outside world. However, after a few moments, the facility started to get attacked by an outside force, and everyone had to escape from the area. Meanwhile, Kiruko meets with an old-time friend that she lost many years back.

The episode contains a lot of elements that keep the viewers on their toes and wondering what will happen next. Nevertheless, many loose ends are met with a conclusion which helps us understand the plot better. A lot of foreshadowing has been done that leads up to the final moments and brings the plot together at the end. The storylines of various characters converge and provide a full picture of the events.

However, the storyline took a drastic turn in the last few minutes, and no one saw it coming. Depictions of sexual assault have been shown explicitly, which can be triggering to the audience. Kiruko’s worldview is shattered and raises multiple questions about his real identity, which is hard to watch. Nevertheless, the character has become relatable to the viewers in more ways than before.

In addition to the remarkable character development, the plot has advanced smoothly and made some significant disclosures. The audience is ultimately made aware of the enigma surrounding the unidentified entities looming around the background. Not only is the truth revealed, but the plot is also better understood and explains many of the ambiguous circumstances that left us asking why. Furthermore, even though the plot is still unpredictable, some predictions about the future are still possible.

The plot also grows more complex as a result of the addition of turns and twists that give specific characters greater nuance and complexity. The audience will gradually begin to understand the plot and how it will unfold, but they will also get progressively more perplexed. The episode closes with yet another major reveal that builds suspense among the show’s viewers thanks to its unique plot and surprising subplots.

The latest episode is a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows. The plot contains a few triggering scenes in the last few minutes of the episode; viewers’ discretion is advised. Overall the plot contains a lot of elements that make it interesting and make the audience wonder what might happen next. From beginning to end, there is not a single dull moment, and the keeps the audience glued to the screens.
