Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 9: I Know What You Did Last Summit

Somewhere with Georgina leaving and Kata’s Gossip Girl losing all her spark to elicit appropriate controversies, we knew somewhere that Gossip Girl Season 2 would surely fail. Episode 9 of the series is solid proof of that with haywire and uninteresting storylines dragging itself to make the show survive its last few releases.

In the ninth episode of Gossip Girl, we have multiple things happening all at once. We discover that there is a bounty on Gossip Girl’s head by the de Haans which keeps Kate away from making posts as she will be caught she feels. Meanwhile, due to the tiff between Audrey and Julien worsening, the latter is determined to seek revenge on the social media persona responsible for it all. However, the steps Julien takes to catch GG just put her in the bad books of her friends as she crosses all boundaries and steps in their shoes which is not her place to be at.

Amidst all this, we have a summit taking place that becomes the peak where all the unnecessary chaos unleashes. Everyone’s lives are left messed up and, we soon enough see even Zoya joining Julien’s league to exact revenge because of the trauma and insult that Kate’s post brings to her father. Even Audrey, Aki and Max’s relationship faces a disruption after Max confesses his love for the two but, ends up feeling lonelier than ever due to what Kate does.

Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 9: Final Thoughts

At this point, watching Gossip Girl Season 2 is a tiresome task. You would almost feel like skipping through most of the parts only to reach an end that is as disappointing as the entire episode with nothing to hold onto as you look forward to the next one. The first season and, even the first half of the second season, till the time we saw Julien and Monet really taking good leading reigns for the show, it was good. But, suddenly the waters changed and now all there is left is a soft flow where you are drowning in content that does not quip anyone’s interest.
