Good Morning Veronica Season 2 Ending Explained

Good Morning Veronica season 2 delves into the mafia that was briefly mentioned in the last season and picks up a few months after the ending of season 1.

Veronica Torres, still dead to the world, investigates the shady organisation that was behind Claudio and that is into more than what Veronica could’ve thought of. There’s also the connection with her father and the thought that maybe her father wasn’t a part of this nightmare and her parents saw the fate that they did because they chose to go against the mafia.

In the end, you’d think Veronica would get her happily ever after, but going after some big weights has its consequences because she again has to disappear because, first of all, going to prison would definitely be the end of her, and she has to be free to look more into the organisation. The fight is far from over for her.

Well, Good Morning Veronica season 2 gives us a glimpse into the mafia, most importantly, takes us deep and personal into the leader of the cult as well as the orphanage which is more than just that – Cosmas and Damian Orphanage holds a horrible secret and proves to be the set piece that can make or break.

Good Morning Veronica Season 2: Matias

Good Morning Veronica Season 2 Ending Explained

Ok so, Matias is the controlling, abusive and powerful cult leader who uses his power and influence to abuse women. He’s a predator, plain and simple, with several prior sexual assault charges that he strong-armed his way out of. Now, he uses his predatory ways to sexually assaults them at home, “consensually”. It’s a healing process, you see, one that cures cancer and makes infertility go away.

Sarcasm aside, Matias started his first religious training at the Order of Faith whose leader Monsignor Davila was arrested some time back. The Order of the Faith, now in Extrema, is a mental hospital in the present – is it where Matias always threatens to send Angela all the time?

Good Morning Veronica Season 2: Cosmas and Damian Orphanage

So, what are they doing in the orphanage? Matias trains these kids in the orphanage, some of whom are abandoned kids and others left there voluntarily, and turns them into mercenaries. Those who don’t quality to become mercenaries are sex trafficked to other countries, especially Spain on the guise of receiving scholarships.

Good Morning Veronica Season 2: Angela and Gisele

Still From Good Morning Veronica Season 2

From the first minute of the second season, the series points to Gisele being Angela’s mother but there is something off about her relationship with the child. For one, you’d expect a mother to save her daughter from the hands a of a predator. However, Gisele is very subdued and when Angela points out the glaring red flags, she gets hostile and hurts Angela, going as far as to call her crazy.

When we see her in the end, after having disappeared (seemingly dead) thanks to Matias’s rage, she reveals that she is actually Matias’s daughter. So, he was grooming Angela to eventually take Gisele’s place later on and thanks to her own grooming from childhood, Gisele thought this was competition and was thus extremely jealous of the attention that young Angela got from Matias.

The perversion is absolutely horrible – there’s just no other words.

Good Morning Veronica Season 2: Dome

Dome’s identity is a matter of question from the first minute of the series. No, he’s not Matias, he’s one of the mercenaries from Cosmas and Damian surely, but his identity isn’t revealed in this season. But, it’s clear that he’s someone important and someone who knows Claudio as well, considering Matias gave him Claudio’s cross necklace.

Is it the black-wearing biker from the first episode? Is it Rossi? Well, in the last episode, Matias shows Dome Lila’s picture, indicating that they’ll probably try to sell her as well or something? We’ll probably see more of Dome in the next season, considering season 2 ended on a cliffhanger.

Good Morning Veronica is streaming on Netflix.

  1. I’m hooked on Good Morning Veronica. It is coming back for a 3rd season? Too many loose ends, especially with the picture of Lila & the comment about her.
