This episode begins with a look at Kenzaburo’s previous life as an ordinary salaryman. We discover that he was a devoted otaku whose love for anime and manga was shared by his wife and daughter. Despite working for the city’s government office, Kenzaburo didn’t shy away from geeking out about anime, even in front of his colleagues, fully embracing his passion.

Now reincarnated as a Duke’s daughter, Kenzaburo must navigate his new reality using his prior knowledge. In this episode, we witness his first encounter with one of the story’s “capture targets,” and his actions leave a lasting impression. By offering sensible and grounded opinions instead of clinging to Grace’s former ideas of class superiority, he manages to surprise everyone. Despite his efforts to behave like the original Grace, Kenzaburo’s genuine personality still shines through. Luckily, his quirks don’t raise any suspicions.

But is Kenzaburo entirely rewriting Grace’s character? A glimpse into her past reveals that she once enjoyed visiting staff members, appreciating their work, and engaging in friendly conversations. However, after receiving lessons on high society, she transformed into an insufferable noblewoman obsessed with social hierarchy.

Grace or Kenzaburo has finally settled within the student council as one of their core team members. He has also started to take a keen interest in Anna and her chances with each of the capture targets. At the beginning of this episode, kenzaburo in Grace’s body asks Anna what kind of hair she prefers. This is because he comes to the conclusion that she might play a significant role as only the main characters have extravagant main. Not understanding Grace’s direction of the question, Anna answers, keeping Grace’s luxurious hair in mind. This scene alone proves that Anna is falling for Grace more than she would for the capture targets.

This is the trend that we see even in the later half of the episode when the sudden and very positive change within Grace also enamors the Prince. Previously, Prince Virgile was not really keen on marrying Grace and only thought about it because it would help his Kingdom. But now that he sees her talents and keen insight, he concludes that Grace has become one of the most prominent assets.

Not only him, but something similar happens to Auguste Lion as well. All of these are happening because, at the end of the day, a very humble yet cool otaku’s soul is hidden in Grace’s body. Kenzaburo by heart is a good man who gets along with almost everyone, even the people of his daughter’s age. Hence, maybe it is a factor behind his success in charming every character of every age.

Today’s episode was pretty wholesome as we see Grace or Kenzaburo try to meddle with Anna and her love interests. Rather than acting as a villain and putting a stop to Anna’s relationship developments, Kenzaburo does the opposite and helps her create stronger bonds. Funnily enough, he only later realizes that.

Verdict

Here, we see another entertaining and fun episode that leaves you satisfied. While this may seem like just another typical Isekai Villainess anime, it manages to handle its familiar tropes with surprising finesse.
