Divorce Attorney Shin (신성한, 이혼) is a Korean courtroom drama series, co-directed by Lee Jae-hoon and Lim Jun-hyuk. The screenplay is written by Yoo Young-ah and it has been adapted from the webtoon of the same name by Kang Tae-kyung, which was published from 10 September 2019 to 31 August 2021 by Kakao.
The drama stars Cho Seung-woo, Han Hye-jin, Kim Sung-kyun, and Jung Moon-sung in the lead roles. Divorce Attorney Shin Episode 2 showed that determined to win, Sung-han convinces Seo-jin to take her case to trial. On the other hand, we meet another prospective client Park Ae-ran, who struggles to contain her mother-in-law’s belittlements.
The K-drama follows Shin Sung-han who majored in piano and became a professor at a music university in Germany. However, something happens and he is urged to come back to South Korea and starts working on becoming a lawyer. And not just any lawyer but especially a divorce lawyer, due to some reasons that are related to his own life. He is also joined by his childhood friends – Jang Hyung-geun and Jo Jeong-sik who call themselves 40-year-old youths.

In the second episode, Lee Seo-jin takes her divorce case to court where Shin Sung-han questions her husband if, he is the one who showed Hyeon-u the leaked sex tape. In anger, he agrees to show him what his mother was up to when he pleaded to only live with her. This confession helps Shin in winning the case as they deem the father as dangerous & not competent enough to care for the young child properly.
Meanwhile, we also got to see a new prospective client & her back story. Park Ae-ran had to move in with her mother-in-law who treats them badly & the husband also doesn’t stop her from mistreating them. They are going through a financial crisis, as the father’s business has gone down & Ae-ran has to take up several jobs to keep the family going.
However, the father is not able to say anything to the mother who treats his wife & kids badly. One night she starts hitting the youngest daughter & this angers the wife, so she hits the mother back. Breaking the last straw of patience, she might go to attorney Shin for help & this will become his next divorce case.
Also, we were introduced to some new characters who might be related to Shin’s past & personal life. A lady name Yeon-ju sends one of her confidants to meet Shin over some matters but it certainly doesn’t look like a casual meet-up.

In the preview we see Park Ae-ran visiting Sung-han with her case but he thinks it’s a difficult case, considering she hit back at the elderly mother-in-law & the court might not see it in her favour. Therefore, he with his friends decide to gather evidence against the mother-in-law from her building tenants, which could prove her bad temperament & abusive personality.
It also looks like Seo-jin is not done yet with them & come back to fix the stuck-up door for them. She might be asking attorney Shin to help her in winning other lawsuits against her husband & is doing everything to get on her side. We will also see what’s the relationship between the man & the woman who sent him to visit Shin.
