When is Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning Releasing in India? All About the Anime Film

Akiyoshi Hongo’s (Aki Maita, Hiroshi Izawa and Takeichi Hongo) creation has come a long way since its conception following the many anime series and films’ premieres, that have now led the fans to the Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning movie (デジモンアドベンチャー02 THE BEGINNING). Produced by the project’s long-standing and loyal production banner, Toei Animation, the Japanese adventure film has been directed by Tomohisa Taguchi and written by Akatsuki Yamatoya.

Although this movie had already released in several other countries of the world, it was yet to take a stand in Indian theatres, and the fans from the subcontinent will be more than happy to find out that not only is the anime continuation hitting the local cinemas soon, it also features a special scene that will particularly hit the Indian fandom in the feels.

Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning

The first four minutes of the film have been released online (linked below), and in that clip, a signal is being sent out to every corner of the world. As expected, for the message to reach eye, it’s transmitted in several languages targeting the numerous nations around the world. Digimon Adventure 02 Movie Plot

Touted as the sequel to Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, The Beginning chapter will mark the conclusion of the Digimon Adventure 02 saga that previously took off with the original anime series. With the film’s actions set in 2012, two years after fighting off Eosmon, the main squad meets Lui Owada, a boy with a DIGIVICE who could possibly be the first DigiDestined (first person to have partnered up with a Digimon) ever.

Simultaneously, a giant Digitama sends out a message to the world (“May everyone in the world have friends. May they each have a Digimon.”), signalling that everyone will have friends, as represented by a Digimon partner for all. What does this mean for the 02 team? How did the birth of the DigiDestined come about, and how is it related to Lui? Will he be the key to saving the world from the impending dangers, especially with the Digitama seemingly hatching?

Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning India Release Date and Trailer

Though initially billed to release on January 5 through PVR Inox Pictures in India, the movie will now be releasing on January 19 (Friday). It originally premiered in Japan on October 5, 2023.
