Di4ries: All About Netflix’s Coming-of-Age Italian Series

Di4ries is an upcoming Italian coming-of-age romantic drama series releasing on Netflix this month. The series was first released in Italy on 18 May 2022 but will be made globally available in July. It is directed by Alessandro Celli and the screenplay is written by Mariano Di Nardo, Simona Ercolani and Angelo Pastore.

The series will follow a group of teenagers going to Galileo Galilei middle school as they discover more about their lives and themselves, amidst an upcoming crisis and how their lives intertwine with each other. There will be 15 episodes in total with a runtime ranging from 24-52 minutes respectively.

The cast includes Andrea Arru, Flavia Leone, Biagio Venditti, Sofia Nicolini, Liam Nicolosi, Federica Franzellitti, Francesca La Cava, Pietro Sparvoli and Fiorenza Tessari.

Di4ries Plot/Synopsis

The official synopsis of the series reads – First crushes, first kisses, fun with friends — and feuds with rivals. In the halls of Galileo Galilei Middle School, every day is full of surprises! In the trailer, we are introduced to a 13-year-old boy named Pietro who introduces his middle school and class he studies in, 2D.

Then we meet Livia Mancini who is ‘Miss Perfect’ and wishes for a reality where she can break the rules and live her life authentically. Followed by Daniel and Isabel with her best friend Monica, who are the champions of justice. Arianna, who fancies herself as much as a Miss Universe and Giulio, a mischievous boy who is up to something all the time.

And no story is complete with some conflict, drama and first love. But more than anything, the place that brought them all together, Galileo Galilei Middle School is being closed down. It brings some chaos, and emotional moments and the spirit to save their school brings everyone together.
