Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 7 was really good and relayed a lot of information. Let’s take a closer look at the events of the 7th episode.

Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 6 Recap

Tanjiro is joined by his friends Zenitsu and Inosuke. But Himejima is notoriously tough to train with for several reasons.

Unlike the other Hashira, Himejima is not very talkative, often providing instructions without explaining the methods to achieve them. Additionally, he seems oblivious to the difference in strength between himself and others, assigning tasks nearly impossible for weaker demon slayers.

Training under Himejima starts with a cold plunge under a waterfall in winter. Next, trainees must lift three enormous logs and push a boulder twice their height for 358 feet. Thankfully, Himejima omitted another step he deemed too dangerous: roasting the demon slayers with fire from below. This rigorous routine leaves Zenitsu in shock.

Despite the overwhelming demands, everyone strives to meet Himejima’s expectations. Even the usually energetic Inosuke admits it’s too much, while Tanjiro perseveres with determination. Meanwhile, the 4th Kizuki, Nakime, is seen frantically searching for any information regarding Ubuyashiki and Nezuko.

Demon Slayer Season 4 Episode 7 Review Before The Impending Battle

Today’s episode is the best one in this entire season, as it provides everything you hope for. We finally got more information and material that furthered the plot rather than dilly-dallying with trivial bits. This episode starts with Tanjiro finally being able to move the entire boulder to its destination and receive an acknowledgement from the strongest Hashira. Not only that, but Himejima even accepted that, unlike other kids, who are prone to making selfish decisions when faced with danger, Tanjiro is entirely different. He does not claim anyone else’s accomplishments nor does he seek praise.

Himejima also recounts his own past, which is bafflingly tragic. Plus, we also got to know that Himejima is indirectly connected to Zenitsu through a common link, which certainly came as a surprise to me. Perhaps this link is also the reason behind Zenitsu’s grave look that we see later. He is someone who is always very unserious, hence, when his face full of disdain is displayed, you wonder what must have happened.

Other than this, we also see Tanjiro moving forward in his training and reaching Giyu’s place. While there, he finds Giyu and Sanemi fighting amongst themselves as training. They share a light-hearted banter, and Sanemi leaves the premises after being unknowingly embarrassed by Tanjiro, who, as usual, meant no harm.

But nothing could have prepared me for the ending that solidified what was to come in the next episode. In the coming week, we will have our last watch of this season, and we will finally see the Hashiras enter their final battle.

I must mention how incredible this episode’s animation and cinematography were, coupled with the fitting music. But again, I must point out how the makers waste too much time on random things rather than giving us as much of the story as possible. I appreciate the slow-mo walk of our villain, but we all can agree that it was too long.

Verdict

All in all, I totally enjoyed today’s episode, and the conclusion will definitely make me wait for the last episode of this season vehemently. We are officially entering the final phase of this series, and it is a bit sad that everything is going to end soon. Watch all the new episodes on Netflix.
