Crash Course in Romance Episode 7 Recap and Review: Choi Chi-yeol Falls Head Over Heels For Nam Haeng-seon

Crash Course in Romance Episode 7 finds the star math instructor Choi Chi-yeol acknowledging his love for Nam Haeng-seon in the most awkward manner. The episode mostly revolves around their burning romance and features an array of cupid moments between the cute duo. Furthermore, the series is centred around a high-spirited side dish store owner and a private math tutor played by Jeon Do-yeon and Jung Kyoung-ho respectively. Notably, the Kdrama also takes over tvN’s Saturday-Sunday 9:10 KST time slot previously occupied by Alchemy of Souls.

Crash Course in Romance Episode 7 has a runtime of 70 minutes.

Netflix describes the series as

A MOTHER WITH A HEART OF GOLD NAVIGATES THE CUTTHROAT WORLD OF PRIVATE EDUCATION WHEN HER DAUGHTER TRIES TO JOIN A CELEBRITY MATH INSTRUCTOR’S CLASS.

-Crash Course in Romance Episode 7 Recap Contains Spoilers-

Crash Course in Romance Episode 7 starts with the math instructor dodging a bullet, as he is nearly caught by his coaching student and her mother. Notably, Nam Haeng-seon arrives at the right moment to diffuse the situation and saves him from getting exposed as a private tutor.

Moreover, Choi Chi-yeol finds himself lovestruck with his feelings for Nam Haeng-seon. Despite his efforts to keep things professional, it’s clear that his attraction to her is undeniable. Throughout the episode, Choi continues to give private tutoring to Nam’s niece and the lessons prove to be a success, with the niece topping her class.

However, this achievement increments her envy ratio and makes her the centre of attraction in the class. Even though she appears to be completely oblivious, it is quite clear that she has landed herself in a love triangle.

As the episode progresses, the investigation into the student killer continues, adding tension to the story. Furthermore, the killer is shown throughout the episode, to be the revenge-filled son of Nam Haeng-seon’s friend. This builds anticipation in the story, and also hints towards the authorities getting closer to finding the culprit.

Despite the dark themes of the investigation, the episode also features a cute moment between Choi and Nam and provides glimpses of a romantic relationship in the future. Moreover, as the tension between them builds, we are left wondering what will happen next in their relationship trajectory.

Furthermore, the best highlight of the episode takes place when Choi Chi-yeol’s hand gets injured while playing football. And as he struggles to regain his composure, Nam Haeng-seon suddenly appears on the scene, ready to lend a hand. Her kind and caring demeanour immediately put Choi at ease, and he can’t help but feel grateful for her presence.

This moment alone is enough to suggest that the math instructor has fallen head over heels for Nam. And that she will play an important role in reviving the emotional side of the otherwise distant teacher. As the episode ends, it is clear that Choi and Nam’s connection is only growing stronger, and their feelings for each other will inevitably come to a point of confrontation in the coming episodes.

The latest instalment of the Kdrama series is a delightful mix of heartwarming moments and affectionate instances. The show’s two main characters, Choi Chi-yeol and Nam Haeng-seon, are at the forefront of the episode, as their relationship begins to blossom.

Choi, who serves as a private tutor, proves himself to be a top-notch educator and helps her to win over his toughest critic. On the other hand,  Nam Haeng-seon shows her caring and nurturing side as she rushes to aid Choi Chi-yeol after he sustains an injury during a football game. For me, these contrasting yet complementary characters are the core of what makes the show so enjoyable to watch.

The episode also brings the ongoing investigation of a student killer to the centre, creating a suspenseful change in the atmosphere. This storyline adds an extra layer of excitement to the show and keeps the viewers engaged and on the edge of their seats.

All in all, the episode is a charming and captivating instalment in the series. The budding relationship between Choi and Nam, combined with the investigation, makes for an intriguing and entertaining filler watch.
