Even though the matter is resolved, his assistant disapproves of the unethical private tuition and asks him to reconsider his decisions. Moreover, Nam Haeng-Seon also consoles his best friend and apologizes for keeping a secret from her.

The episode then shifts toward a traumatic event from his past. It is revealed that a student under his coaching committed suicide after getting caught up in a cheating scandal. The incident had a profound impact on Choi Chi-Yeol, shaping his personality and causing him to become distant and withdrawn.
