Former member of South Korean girl group LOONA, singer CHUU, made her solo debut on October 18, 2023, with her mini album Howl. Following this, she has released numerous projects, ranging from singles, mini-albums, OSTs, collaborations, and more, and has captivated fans around the world. The album consists of songs: Only Cry In The Rain, Back in Town, Kiss A Kitty, Je T’aime, and No More.
The singer has been mesmerizing fans with her unique vocals, attractive presence, and performances that fans have been loving. This song isn’t the first from the album with a music video, but it has its own unique vibe, which is different from the title track. Following this vibe, the music video captures viewers’ attention in its own way, and this is what we are going to discuss in this upcoming review! Let’s begin.

CHUU Back in Town MV Review
With some intriguing editing and a flurry of expressions from the singer, this music video begins most unexpectedly to viewers. The song has certainly gained quite a following, but this music video makes it all the better. A catchy tune, accompanied by a video like this, is just what we wanted, and now we have it! And the highlight is the way CHUU carries herself throughout the song, even ending it in her own playful way.
When talking about this music video, we have to start with the simplicity of the filming set. Seated inside a house and ready to move forward with her life, the singer starts off with a look into the past and the lovesickness that caught her. As the song moves on, we see her journey of falling in love before the breakthrough comes.

The editing in the video is just perfect for the imaginary scenes that the singer shows in her journey. She remains the same throughout the song, but you can see the changes through the images popping up around her. Her constant jolly expressions that also show her playful side keep you smiling with her throughout the video. I absolutely love how she maintains a smile while showing different emotions through her actions and eyes.
Moving on, I also have to talk about the camerawork in the music video, which is smooth whenever a shift is needed. The focus on CHUU is perfect, but there’s also a focus on important changes that require our attention. These actions make it easier for viewers to follow the story, as well as the lyrics of the song. There is a sweet magic in this song that keeps fans addicted right until the end.

Altogether, the music video is smooth, beautiful, playful, and just right for the vibe the singer carries around her.
