Chief Detective 1958 (수사반장 1958) brings a mix of romance, comedy, action and more, all in the historical setting of the late 1950s! But the songs that set the mood are what we bring to you. Directed by Kim Sung-hoon, the drama stars Lee Je-hoon, Lee Dong-hwi, Choi Woo-sung, Yoon Hyun-soo, Seon Eun-soo, and Choi Deok-moon, alongside other cast members.

The show brings the events of Detective Park Young-han’s life, who teams up with his colleagues at a new Police Station to fight corruption. The drama is a prequel to the legendary Korean drama Chief Inspector which entertained the audience for 18 years.

While Young Detective Park’s point of view has us energised with the first track, this track by Kim Sawol brings a trip down memory lane from the older Detective Park’s viewpoint. The original Chief Park is seen recalling when he first came to this city in 1958 with nothing but the energy of a man who wanted to right all the wrongs. This song brings a smooth melody wherein Young-han’s enthusiasm, excitement and shock are seen clearly.

Always Here for You by Beom Jin

Young-han and Hye-ju’s romance captivated the audience like no other as this green flag couple stole the spotlight every chance they got. A song as soothing as the couple’s love story, Beom Jin steals our hearts with his voice while the Young-Hye couple makes you wish we had more time with them.
