In diverse regions of Japan, enigmatic realms known as “demon cities” materialized, unveiling a mysterious phenomenon. Enter Yuuki Wagura, a disheartened high school student, whose mundane existence takes an unexpected turn one fateful day as he finds himself inexplicably stranded at the entrance of one such demon city.
In this surreal setting, Yuuki encounters Kyoka Uzen, the captivating leader overseeing the seven divisions of the “Magical Defense Corps.” A woman of striking beauty and authority, Kyoka swiftly assigns an unexpected role to the bewildered youth – that of becoming her devoted servant. Thus, a captivating tale unfurls as Yuuki becomes entangled in the enigmatic world of demon cities and the captivating allure of Kyoka’s Magical Defense Corps.

In the second episode, Yuuki completes his cleaning duties at the 7th Squad dormitory, facing challenges from the Shuuki. Nei explains the prevalence of Shuuki in the active Mato region, while Himari ridicules Yuuki for his perceived laziness. Ordered to prepare dinner, Yuuki feels an eerie sensation of being watched. The women of the 7th Squad praise Yuuki’s cooking, but he grapples with the conflict between his desire to be a hero and his lack of battle experience. Himari, emphasizing Yuuki’s importance, warns him with a sword-arm.
The episode takes a turn when a massive Shuuki attacks, prompting Shushu to use her powers. Despite her initial success, a larger Shuuki appears. Yuuki attempts a partial transformation, using Kyouka’s belongings. After a successful intervention, the episode concludes with Kyouka’s return and Yuuki receiving a massage for injuries sustained during the encounter. Meanwhile, another Defense Force squad faces a perilous situation, and a mysterious woman hints at knowing Yuuki’s presence in Mato.
