Castaway Diva Overview
Castaway Diva (무인도의 디바) is a Korean rom-com that tells the story of a woman stranded on an island for 15 years and how she comes back into society and tries to pursue her dream to be an idol. Directed by Oh Choong-hwan, the drama stars Park Eun-bin, Kim Hyo-jin, Chae Jong-hyeop, Cha Hak-yeon, Kim Joo-heon, and Lee Re, alongside other cast members.
The Kdrama tells the story of Seo Mok-ha who dreams of becoming a singer, however, an incident leaves her stranded on a deserted island where she survives for 15 years. Now, she is finally rescued, but times have changed and circumstances make achieving her dream challenging. Will she be able to become a singer and get her stage?
Castaway Diva takes over tvN’s Saturday-Sunday 9:20 PM KST timeslot previously held by Arthdal Chronicles season 2.

Tragedy hits the Kang family as their joyful night turns into one filled with pain. Elsewhere, Ran-joo questions Seo-jun about his intentions this whole time. Meanwhile, Woo-hak has decided to confess his untold feelings to Mok-ha, while Bo-geol tells how he had been looking for Mok-ha this whole time.
Soon, the day when Mok-ha truly achieves her dreams is here and she prepares to take over the stage while her loved ones support her.

Mok-ha and Ran-joo’s press conference goes downhill and they fail to clear the rumours while Ran-joo finds a new meaning in her name. She finds out that her name was initially her mother’s stage name before she got pregnant with Ran-joo. As she begins to pick up her pieces, the Kang family goes for their interview with the prosecutor overlooking their case.
The prosecutor soon understands what is happening and begins to lean towards the Kang family. The family soon finishes the interview and walks out to see Mok-ha waiting for them with umbrellas. Later, Mok-ha gives the stage Ran-joo prepared for her along with the lyrics that are close to her and mother’s heart.
The song was recorded by Ran-joo and soon she began to top the charts. This becomes the happiness with which her mother passes away. Ran-joo is left devasted but soon is shocked when she finds an invoice her mother kept safely; proving that she had made 140,000 album sales in Japan.
Meanwhile, the Kang family is proven not guilty and brings them a joyful occasion which turns into a tragedy. This happens when Bong-wan attacks Sang-doo in the middle of the road and escapes smoothly while leaving him to die in Woo-hak’s arms.
