BTS’ Suga Becomes NBA’s Newest Global Ambassador; Expresses Love For Basketball

Yes! BTS’ Suga puts another achievement under his belt by becoming the newest Global Ambassador for NBA or The National Basketball Association. The organisation along with BIGHIT Music, dropped the news earlier today! Apart from being a singer, songwriter, producer and rapper, the artist is an avid supporter of the sport and has been playing and watching it since a very young age.

The BTS star will be engaging in various activities as an NBA Ambassador during the rest of the 2022-2023 season and more. He will be meeting NBA fans around the world, participating in various activities initiated by the league, featuring on NBA’s social media platforms and more. Suga will also attend various basketball games and events conducted by NBA both in the U.S. and Asia. Additionally, he will be present in the league’s promotional activities.

A small video snippet of the artist was also shared, where he expressed his gratitude for the wonderful opportunity presented to him. He also said that he has been following the game since his childhood days and has a lot of respect and love for it. Evidently, he is eager to join the activities and welcomes everyone aboard! Small clips of him attending various games were also included.

The K-pop star is currently preparing for his debut solo album D-DAY which will be released on April 21, 2023. Along with the EP, he will also be officially going on a solo world tour in various cities. NBA will also be present and collaborate with select concerts to showcase their support towards the artist for his solo album debut. There will be more exciting collaborations between the league and the artist that the fans will witness in the upcoming days.

Moreover, Suga will also be appearing in a documentary called SUGA: Road to D-DAY, where the entire process of his solo album creation will be featured. Besides his work process, the artist will also share his personal insight into his production. Exclusive clips of him travelling through various countries and cities to make music will also be included. The docufilm will be released the same day as the solo album on Weverse and Disney+.

The title track for the rapper’s solo album has also been unveiled as well. The song is called People Pt 2, featuring IU, which is a sequel to his previous song, People.
