Bleach’s Latest Episode Was Packed With Back-to-Back Insanity
The last season of Bleach has consistently been fast-paced, which is why it never gives the audience a chance to shift their attention to something else, even for a single moment. In this episode as well, they gave us so many brilliant segments that you will not be able to look away. First of all, we finally witness a small example of Zaraki’s actual powers and what could happen if he becomes serious. Not only that, but we also see the most awaited transformation of Toshiro Hitsugaya.
And interestingly enough, these two happened at the same time, completely overwhelming us with some back-to-back great scenes. The fight here is also absolutely insane. Seeing three Captain-level Soul Reapers come together to take down a single enemy was something we definitely needed. Gerard is also established as one of the strongest Quincies ever. By the end of the episode, he even comes across as a truly terrifying force of nature. However, this wasn’t even the only great part of the episode.
Ichigo’s Hollow Form Is Back, and Orihime Has Every Reason to Worry
When Ichigo last transformed into his Hollow form, or rather the Vasto Lorde form, things did not go very well. He became an absolute monster who defeated Ulquiorra mercilessly but also wreaked havoc in an almost barbaric way. At that time, it was difficult to keep him under control and only because of Ulquiorra did he finally return to his human form.
Thus, it was a bit concerning when Ichigo went through a somewhat similar transformation in this episode as well, and that concern showed on Orihime’s face, who was reminded of what happened in Hueco Mundo. However, Ichigo reassures her that it is still him who is fighting. Thus, with his new appearance, we see him launch attacks on Yhwach, which will be explored in the next episode.
Ukitake’s Sacrifice Can’t Hold Back the Hollows for Long
Previously, we saw that Ukitake sacrificed himself to protect the three worlds and essentially keep the human world safe from Hollows. However, it becomes apparent that Ukitake will not be able to handle the burden for long, and that’s exactly what happens here.
Hollows slowly descend upon the real world, and soulreapers like Ryunosuke take it upon themselves to protect Karakura Town.
Bleach’s Latest Episode Was a Feast for the Eyes
This episode was once again absolutely breathtaking to watch. It utilised colours intelligently, and every frame showed an incredible level of detail. On top of that, the soundtrack deserves a special mention for its top-tier contribution. We even got to hear a bit of Ichigo’s theme, “Number One,” which only added to the overall experience.
Final thoughts
This was an absolutely perfect episode that lived up to the expectations of Bleach fans and somehow delivered even more. So far, Bleach hasn’t missed a single time, and that consistency shows just how seriously the team is taking this adaptation and why Bleach is considered one of the Big Three. The way this finale is shaping up, there’s no doubt that it could deliver one of the best endings in anime history.
