Black Knight Teaser Breakdown
The teaser starts with an eerie vibe and a post-apocalyptic setting, featuring glimpses of deliverymen ‘5-8’ (played by Kim Woo-bin), who define the importance of Oxygen and its delivery in the current world. Moreover, as per the detailed voiceover, we get to know about the universe, where Oxygen is the biggest commodity and perhaps the most difficult one to transport.
There are multiple dangers associated with the job, including sand storms and raiders. However, the protagonist of this post-apocalyptic world takes it upon himself to complete the mission without any stoppage. Meanwhile, the one-minute-long teaser also provides visuals of delivery trucks, raiders, refugees, and QR codes.
Even though the teaser footage doesn’t reveal much, it remains pretty evident that the protagonist is on a side mission to save someone (a refugee) from the dangers of the unfamiliar world. The clip also hints at a rebellion and a couple of fights, that transpire in this dystopian setting.

The official clip ends with Kim Woo-bin describing what it takes to be an Oxygen deliveryman, and why it is the most vital job in this universe. The teaser mentions that a dystopian deliveryman should be tough, in order to face the plethora of challenges on the job, and must choose his Oxygen, as the top priority. Furthermore, the teaser concludes with back-to-back action montages, followed by a death stare from the protagonist.
From the looks of it, the teaser paints a thrilling picture of the upcoming Korean drama. It oozes out Mad Max vibes, with the bleak and dust-filled setting of a post-apocalyptic world, and yet remains completely original in its theme and approach. The science fiction angle in the teaser (visible throughout in the form of high-tech gadgets and devices) further adds an element of intrigue to the story.
For the unversed, the story of this post-apocalyptic/dystopian Kdrama has been adapted from the webtoon Delivery Knight by Lee Yoon-gyun, also known as Taekbaegisa. The webtoon tells the story of the year 2071, where air pollution has eroded the entire civilization, and only one per cent of the living population survives on the planet.
