Bitch x Rich Season 2 Episode 9 Recap

The episode opens with Do-un blowing up at Woo-jin for Hae-in’s death. The air is grim with sadness over this unexpected news, although Yul-hee continues to be absolutely nasty about it. Do-un attacks her as well, but stops himself before he gets into more trouble. Je-na tells him that she gave Hae-in’s necklace to the Chairman, which leaves him even more infuriated.

Hye-in talks to Yul-hee later, and tells her that she will give the congratulatory speech at her engagement and will reveal in front of everyone that Je-na had killed Hae-in previously. She implores her to delete her video, but Yul-hee refuses until the work is done. The threats leave Hye-in disturbed, while Jin-wook reveals to Je-na that he plans to destroy Chasel Medic and take Cheongdam High School down with it. Je-na is shocked, and he sweetens the pot by promising to transfer his shares to her.

Elsewhere, the Chairman and Ki-ho plan to destroy the stock prices of Hanmyeong even further by targeting Joo-won with a sex scandal.

As the engagement rolls around, Min-hee and Joo-woon congratulate her, and Je-na takes the opportunity to hand over the DNA test results to her. Min-hee is shocked and scared and pleads for forgiveness. Elsewhere, Yul-hee offers Hye-in the opportunity for an internship at her company along with scholarship money if she keeps her promise, but Hye-in is clearly unsure about making this decision. Yul-hee later meets Jin-wook and tries to get cosy with him, but is left shocked to learn about Min-hee’s child’s true parentage.

She tries to threaten him, but it doesn’t work on Jin-wook. Furious, she threatens to destroy Hye-in’s life if she doesn’t do as she’s told at the engagement ceremony. As the event rolls around, there’s a palpable tension in the air as Hye-in takes the stage. When the time comes, though, she has a hard time lying about it, although it leaves the fate of Yul-hee and Je-na in the air.

With only one episode left to go, I feel rather antsy as I wonder how the series will end, considering the sheer number of things that it needs to cover! Either way, I think this episode ends quite well on an interesting cliffhanger, but as it stands, I think we will get a simple, safe end tomorrow. I don’t know whether I would feel disappointed with it or not! Either way, I don’t think the series has good writing, and its rather dull characters will be its undoing.
