BARDO False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths: Alejandro G Iñárritu Explores the Trance of Emotions in a Dancing Sequence

The new clip from Alejandro G Iñárritu’s BARDO False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths has been released on Youtube and other official social media platforms. The clip is described as the Latin Dance Club number, where the protagonist, played by Daniel Giménez Cacho, breaks into a dancing sequence.

The cast of the upcoming film includes Daniel Giménez Cacho as Silverio Gama, Diego Tello de Meneses as 11-year-old Silverio, Griselda Siciliani as Lucía Gama, Ximena Lamadrid as Camila Gama, Iker Sanchez Solano as Lorenzo Gama, Jay O. Sanders as Ambassador Jones, Andrés Almeida as Martín, Francisco Rubio as Luis, Rubén Zamora as Silverio’s brother, Mar Carrera as Lucero, Fabiola Guajardo as Tania, and Daniel Damuzi as Antonio. Moreover, the film will have a runtime of two hours and thirty-nine minutes.

For the unversed, the plot of the film revolves around an acclaimed journalist cum documentarian, who arrives in his hometown, in search of finding solace in his past and present.

The newly released four minutes thirty-seven-second clip from the movie explores the offbeat protagonist reluctantly forced into a dance routine, inside a Latin club. It doesn’t take you long to predict that Alejandro is attempting his trademark one-take sequence through the song, filled with all sorts of styles and charisma.

Moreover, sticking to his artistic best, Alejandro shifts the camera from the leading duo and brings it to showcase the rest of the details. We get to see the performing singer, the smoking ladies, and the dancing couples before the lens comes back to the protagonist Silverio. This is when he switches his dancing partner and teams up with another woman while adding more retro moves.

The full frenzy Silverio joins several other dancing partners and breaks into the weirdest of moves while getting in rhythm with the beats. Furthermore, the tune of the club changes for the final time and gives us a completely self-indulgent trance from the protagonist, that just feels too good to be real.

The trance reminds you of Joaquin Phoenix’s dancing sequence in Joker and feels a surreal expression of emotions. Moreover, the clip finally ends with an abrupt break in songs, while the screen fades to black.
