Another Self Trailer: Netflix Show Teases a Life-Changing Journey of Past and Present

Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming Turkish show Another Self and the plot is already intriguing viewers to watch the series. The plot revolves around three friends- Ada, Sevgi and Leyla as they take on a journey to overcome their dead ends after facing their pasts. The OGM Pictures production stars Tuba Büyüküstün, Seda Bakan, Boncuk Yılmaz, Murat Boz, Füsun Demirel, Fırat Tanış, Rıza Kocaoğlu and Serkan Altunorak.

Another Self tells the story of three friends- Ada a talented surgeon, Sevgi an ambitious lawyer and Leyla a woman who is content with family life. Their strong friendship started in their university days, but now it faces a test after Sevgi is diagnosed with cancer. She denies treatment and instead forces her friends to accompany her on a trip to find a mysterious man named Zaman. Left with no choice, the two take Sevgi to Ayvalık, unaware that this trip will completely change their lives.

Another Self trailer shows the three becoming aware of Sevgi’s cancer and setting out on a road trip to Ayvalık, enjoying their time and meeting some strangers. They end up meeting the man they were searching for and take part in the spiritual practice led by him. He guides them through a journey where they try to get to the root of their current problems which they haven’t been able to escape.

The trailer continues as each of their predicaments is revealed which they’ve tried to ignore. Fights break out and mistakes are made but the women stick to each other and never give up their friendship as they stand together, holding hands in peace. The trailer ends with one of the girls throwing in a joke to lighten up the mood.

The trailer has shown that this series is set to leave its mark with its unique plot and some very beautiful actors who are also talented. The life-changing journey of the three women really does affect our own perception of life as we look forward to the beautiful days after getting over past trauma. A story with characters who are not ready to give up as they are given a chance to live their lives in a different way. But the biggest focus of the story is the friendship between these women which keeps them strong for themselves and each other.

Another Self is set to release on July 28, 2022, and will be available for streaming on Netflix.
