Alchemy of Souls 2 is almost here on Netflix and words are not enough to show our excitement as the historical K-drama makes its return. With teasers, stills and posters making their way on social media almost every single day, the eagerness only grows as the story of these mages is soon to find its end.
Directed by Park Joon-hwa and written by the Hong sisters- Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran, the show stars Lee Jae-wook, Go Yoon-jung, Jung So-min, Hwang Min-hyun, Shin Seong-ho, alongside other cast members.
Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow is ready to follow the story of Jang Uk and Mu-deok, now Naksu, as their destiny brings them face to face once again but with more twists. With a new face and new memories, the lovers are ready to meet 3 years after the calamity that hit Daeho and the viewers of the show as well.
The trailer for the upcoming sequel is finally here and we are excited to let you know what to expect from the upcoming season! The clip begins with Jang Uk recalling how he is an existence that goes against the laws of nature, calling it a great sin; he has decided to not use the powers that he has acquired.
While Seo Yul regrets not being there for Jang Uk and Mu-deok, a woman is seen with the marks of a soul shifter who is trapped inside her house. As Seo Yul is trapped by a torturous pain from the bloodworm, he comes face to face with a woman who reminds him of his first love.
Jang Uk is made aware of the ice stone that lies within him, which if removed will be at the cost of his own life. On the other hand, the woman who is able to see the ice stone inside him is the one carrying the face of Naksu, who wonders if removing the stone will relieve him of his pain.
The trailer soon comes to an end and brings forth a stream of excitement for the show. Alchemy of Souls 2 is set to premiere on December 10, 2022, at 9:10 PM KST, taking over the time slot previously held by Under the Queen’s Umbrella. The Kdrama will be broadcasted on tvN and will be available for streaming on Netflix.

On the other hand, another clip by tvN brings more in detail about what is to happen in the show. With Jin Mu building up a new plan and Kim Do-ju trying to convince Jang Uk to move on, one thing is for sure, this season is going to leave us flabbergasted.

While the crown prince tries to have a conversation with Jang Uk, the latter continues his days by killing soul shifters, only to soon come face to face with an oddity of a woman who sparks life into him once again. Drawn to the mystery surrounding her, a lost tale in the history of Daeho is bound to come back with new faces.
As Songrim prepares its war against soul shifter terrorising Daeho, the upcoming season will bring an end that we have been looking forward to for so long.
