A Good Day to Be a Dog Plot
Han Hae-na, a single high school teacher, has a deeply buried family secret. An old episode with one of her ancient family members has had big ramifications on her present, so her family has been cursed for generations. According to this curse, any of her family members, when kissed, is turned into a dog at midnight. The same fate follows Hae-na. High school teacher by day and a dog by night, she starts leading this double life, but she can put the curse to rest soon as long as she kisses the same person again.
Therefore, averting the situation, she forbids every man she gets in a relationship with not to kiss her. However, one day, she accidentally kisses Jin Seo-won, a Maths teacher at the same school. Since they’re not close to each other, more awkward situations follow, but Hae-na persistently pursues the man to get another kiss from him to rid herself of the curse. Call it fate or not, Seo-won turns out to be scared of dogs.

The next episode promises to carry on the erratic goofiness of the K-drama as a bully from Seo-won’s old life is about to resurface, and he’s barely evolved into a different person over this time. Meanwhile, Hae-na’s mother seems to have discovered her daughter’s secret and is chasing the one she suspects to being in a relationship with her. Choi Yul also gets embroiled in this mess, but at least he’s seen having a blast with Hae-na and Seo-won until another dilemma fractures the present harmony.
Kang Eun-hwan seems to have caught Hae-na in action while transforming into a dog, and this will eventually turn into a big issue. On the other hand, with Seo-won and Hae-na growing closer to each other, the former is likely to confess his true feelings for her, but maybe not before Hae-na comes clean about her own secret. Stay tuned to find out what happens to the loving pair of the series!
A Good Day to Be a Dog Kdrama airs on Wednesdays at 9 PM KST on the South Korean television channel MBC TV.
