What happens after Se-gye finds out Seo-ri was in an accident?

Seo-ri hurts herself badly and goes into a coma, and Se-gye becomes absolutely devastated. He also sees that his grandfather is going through a similar predicament, and nothing feels good to him. On top of that, his company also finds itself in massive trouble after someone accuses his brand of malpractice. The episode essentially begins with one piece of bad news after another for Se-gye.

What happens to Seo-ri?

Seo-ri’s soul travels to the past and stays stuck inside her old body. There, she lies in a coma, and the person who helped her in her past life also helps her return. However, before that could happen, many things take place in the present time.

Who caused the accident?

It was obviously Moon-do who caused the accident, and we also got to know his reason. He apparently went to his uncle, suggesting sending Se-gye away. However, the chairman revealed that he always knew that Moon-do had ulterior motives behind his actions. He also insulted Moon-do and kind of betrayed him, or at least that’s what Moon-do felt after all the years of his loyalty. This is why he effectively caused the accident that killed his uncle. Moon-do also takes over Se-gye’s company and completely destroys his career.

Does Seo-ri come back?

Yes, Seo-ri does come back to life, but she gets told by her shaman that this would be temporary. When the right time comes, she would return to her original body, and this puts her relationship with Se-gye in much trouble. As Seo-ri could not speak, she could not voice her opinion as well.

What does she say to Se-gye when she returns to the present?

She obviously became very happy to see Se-gye, but internally, she was sad because she knew she would leave him one day. All the romantic moments that we got in between them were great, but at the same time, they were sad. It felt like Se-gye was falling more in love with her while she prepared for the imminent departure.

Does Se-gye make a comeback career-wise?

Yes, Se-gye does make a comeback, but in a very unexpected manner. He gets helped by someone whom we did not think would help him. However, we later find out the reason why she helped, and it was not something that was very noble. The entire situation just complicates the relationship between Se-gye and Seo-ri way more.

Was everything completely all right towards the end?

No, we learn a very important secret in Seo-ri’s life that we did not know before. Weirdly enough, Seo-ri gets the memory of the original Seo-ri from when she was young, so this kind of complicates her standing. It would be interesting to see the entire mystery solved soon.

What worked and what did not work?

This episode was a lot messier than other episodes. It also lacked the comedy that this series is known for. Despite the situation being serious, I would have preferred a bit more entertaining elements. Still, it was a well-executed episode.
