My Royal Nemesis Episode 10 Review: As heartfelt moments bring Se-gye and Seo-ri closer than ever, unresolved conflicts continue to grow in the background. Yet, a surprising development in the final moments leaves the future uncertain.

What do Se-gye and Seo-ri talk about?

Seo-ri tells Se-gye everything that he needs to know about their past life. She also tells him that she is actually a reincarnated soul just taking the place of the original Seo-ri. Though it shocks Se-gye, he skilfully manages to digest that information without many issues. On the other hand, things with Moon-do are not really going well. He goes to see his grandfather, who refuses to see him at all. It becomes certain that he is not favoured anymore. Other than that, Se-gye and Seo-ri both decide they will not hide anything ever again from each other. Following this, they also become very lovey-dovey.

How does the relationship between Se-gye and Seo-ri evolve?

In this episode, the relationship between these two becomes very strong as they explore romance hand in hand. They go on dates and have fun in popular date spots, something that Seo-ri really wanted to do. Other than that, they also joke around with each other and just experience some genuinely good moments that they could not have had in their previous lives.

Did the romance affect the comedy?

Even though the romantic aspects were the highlight of this episode, comedy was also there. One of the most hilarious was when Se-gye’s assistant tells Se-gye that the reason Seo-ri is worried about his health has to do with his stamina. This makes him very worried about himself, giving way to a very funny sequence. There are also miscellaneous scenes that add to the fun category. This series actually handles its comedy timing very well and does not cut corners when it comes to entertainment.

What was the internal conflict between Moon-do and Se-gye?

This episode also highlighted the business conflicts between the two brothers more prominently. The reason Moon-do was shipped off to the US is that his grandfather realised that he was someone who would always want more. He would not let Se-gye have anything at all. That’s why the grandfather decided that it would be best for someone as ambitious as Moon-do to finally take some rest and take care of his son.

How does Moon-do retaliate?

Moon-do obviously did not like such an outcome, and he decided to destroy Se-gye internally. He tries to take out his anger on Seo-ri by scamming her grandmother. However, that is not all, and he later does something far more disturbing. Weirdly enough, Moon-do actually loves his son very much, and we might see more to his story later.

What was the relationship status between Se-gye and Seo-ri towards the end?

Se-gye and Seo-ri have a major fight towards the end, which they do not really resolve in this episode. And the way things went, I don’t think they would be able to do anything anytime soon.

What worked and what did not work?

The majority of this episode would have gone the normal route with its romance and comedy elements intact. However, the curveball twist that we get towards the end completely changed the whole narrative. I absolutely loved that aspect.
