Lawrence finds himself in deep trouble after his fight with Holo. He realizes she won’t listen to him anymore and may even turn to Amati, who can stay with her. Seeking a strategy, Lawrence consults his merchant friend about the market’s next move. They both know the price of pyrite will rise, ensuring Amati’s significant profit.

Determined to thwart Amati, Lawrence hopes to create a situation that decreases pyrite’s value, preventing Amati from buying Holo. Lawrence’s desperation to keep Holo stems from knowing her need for companionship after realizing she has no place to return to. Amati, deeply in love with Holo, would stay with her, at least until he learns her true identity. Therefore, Lawrence’s only option is to crash the market and cause Amati a substantial loss.

Lawrence devises a complex yet effective plan for this mission. He wagers with Amati, making it appear that Lawrence will bear all the losses. However, Lawrence experienced from his previous dealings with armour, is not one to enter a completely disadvantageous wager. He must buy a significant amount of pyrite quickly, even from illegal sources. Hopefully, Lawrence’s plan will succeed, allowing him to keep Holo.

The episode will show Lawrence and Amati for Holo’s hand in marriage. Well, it will be mainly Amati who would want to buy Holo’s presumed debt, but Lawrence will not let that happen. He might also finally profess his love for Holo and solve the matter amongst themselves. We might also see Lawrence winning his bid with Amati.
