Flex X Cop Episode 7 Recap

The episode commences with the investigation into the mysterious death of Choi Seonu, the CEO of SW Soft. Despite water bottles being within reach, he died of dehydration. I-soo anticipates the case’s difficulty, but Kang-hyun remains undeterred. Their initial suspects include a psychiatrist from YK Hospital and Sang-gu, Seonu’s colleague. A visit to YK Hospital, catering to the affluent, introduces them to Dr. Yuk-yung. During questioning, the doctor reveals Seonu’s struggles with panic attacks and paranoia about being killed.

Joon-young and Kyung-jin explore SW Soft, discovering financial troubles stemming from Seonu’s investment in coins. Their search for Sang-gu leads them to his home, where they find his week-old murdered corpse. It becomes apparent that Seonu likely killed Sang-gu due to their blackmailing scheme. Euna, I-soo’s ex, discloses that she was also blackmailed and paid them money. Meanwhile, I-soo grapples with recurring dreams that disturb his nights, and at home, he has a snow globe reminiscent of the one at the psychiatrist’s office.

As the investigation progresses, Kang-hyun suspects the psychiatrist may know I-soo due to her peculiar behavior towards him. The psychiatrist, aware of Sang-gu’s death and the extortion, continues to withhold information. I-soo confides in her about his recurring dream, and she suggests it reflects suppressed memories resurfacing. The psychiatrist then texts I-soo’s father, indicating his memory is slowly returning, leaving I-soo deep in thought.

Discovering a clue about a USB drive, Kyung-jin and Joon-young search SW Soft, while Kang-hyun and I-soo head to Sang-gu’s apartment. Inside, I-soo confronts the killer, leading to a scuffle and the killer’s escape. Undeterred, I-soo pursues the criminal by jumping out of a window, successfully apprehending them. Kang-hyun chastises him for his reckless actions upon their return to the office. Later, Kang-hyun receives a call from her mother, learning that an SBC reporter is inquiring about I-soo’s late mother. Investigating the case files, she uncovers discrepancies in I-soo’s account of his mother’s death, leading to a realization that his memory has been altered.
