Onmyoji Ending Theme Song, Kioku, has just been released and its melody captivates the true essence of the anime. The singer behind the song is an up-and-coming Japanese artist who goes by the name, Ao. The song’s soothing and mellow tones create an enchanting atmosphere, pulling the audience into a state of tranquillity and reflection.
Onmyoji (陰陽師) is an upcoming Japanese Netflix Original anime series that is set to release soon. The show is an adaptation of Baku Yumemakura’s critically acclaimed novel of the same name. The 2D animated series will follow the amalgamation story of history and magic, combined with an epic battle against the menacing demons lurking around the world.

In the video of the ending theme song, a man is seen sitting at the end of a wooden bridge. The man is none other than Seimei Abe, who is the central character of the series. He is seen sitting in the same place as days and seasons go by swiftly. The scenic beauty is enhanced by Ao’s mesmerising voice which helps the audience understand the meaning behind the gradual changes.
However, everything changes except for the wisteria tree behind the Seimei. It could represent the things in our lives which remain constant and never go through any change. Moreover, the tree might also play a significant role in the anime’s plot, representing some of the central aspects and themes that the story revolves around. At the end of the video, Minamoto Hiromasa appears with his usual jolly self to give Seimiei some company.
Animated by Marvy Jack, the same studio behind Seven Deadly Sins, the story follows the legendary figures of Abe Seimei and Minamoto Hiromasa, both from Japan’s Heian Period. Together, they confront humans who have transformed into malevolent demons. They both team up in ancient Kyoto to defeat the wrath of the evil spirits. Soubi Yamamoto, who also worked on This Boy Can Fight Aliens, directs the show. Natsu Hashimoto and Yuiko Kato serve as the screenwriters.
