Call It Love Episode 6 Recap
Call It Love episode 6 starts right after Dong-jin and Woo-joo leave hand in hand, leaving Min-young alone in the office. As she mulls over Dong-jin’s words, he, meanwhile, lets Woo-joo’s hand go and tells her that they don’t have to keep pretending anymore. However, it seems like Woo-joo wasn’t pretending that physical contact.
Either way, Dong-jin tells her not to repeat what she just did, which ticks Woo-joo off, who asks him why he is making a greater deal of something so insignificant than it needs to be. Dong-jin, however, tells her that it’s not about anyone else misunderstanding – he doesn’t want to misunderstand her. She is taken aback by the revelation and is left speechless.

In the end, she beckons him to have dinner with her, and a frustrated Dong-jin follows suit to not get into another fight with her.
Meanwhile, Min-young continues her woe-is-me attitude with Sun-woo, who continues to appease her self-centred ranting.
At the restaurant, Woo-joo continues to blabber about suing Min-young and whatnot and without flaming her fire too much, he simply thanks her for not letting him have dinner alone that night. The two of them are just so awkward around each other, but their hearts have started to warm for each other, and their fleeting glances towards each other are proof of their feelings.
On their way back home, however, Woo-joo finally catches Ji-gu working at the restaurant. The siblings get into a hilarious argument, which Dong-jin is forced to be a part of, and it ends with Ji-gu telling his sister the truth and pushing Dong-jin on her so that he can run away to safety. Woo-joo is left shocked, and after a moment in each other’s arms, the two of them jump back, realising what just happened between them.

The next morning, Woo-joo and Yoon Jun get into an argument over Ji-gu and the fact that she doesn’t tell him everything. Unfortunately for him, Woo-joo does catch his lie and tells him that he can’t get away from the consequences by pretending to be angry. Later on, Sung-man makes a surprise visit to Best Fairs and hassles Soo-hee around until Dong-jin arrives.
The two discuss their history together, and Dong-jin mentions that he knows why he is going as far as he is – the night that they all left is the night he lost his wife and, due to begging Dong-jin to stay back, he wasn’t able to pick up the 911 call. Dong-jin tells him that although he was ok to take some of the punches, in the end, it wasn’t his fault that Sung-man’s wife died that day.
Sung-man, instead of understanding the situation, unfortunately, decides to dig his heels in and just then, Sun-woo arrives and starts an argument. The entire thing results in Sung-man deciding to go big with their fair, ensuring that Best Fairs really does go under. Meanwhile, Woo-joo watches the entire thing and looks disgusted at Dong-jin’s lack of reaction to the scene.

Later, Woo-joo and Hae-sung go out in search of their brother but come up empty. Woo-joo wonders where he could be, and Hae-sung tells her to let him be. That just because she supported him, she couldn’t use it to control him. He needs to find his own way in life, and Woo-joo pushing her own insecurities down his throat isn’t going to help anyone.
A frustrated Woo-joo is annoyed at her sister and gives up trying to get Ji-gu back after asking her why she can’t expect things from him when she has, in fact, done a lot for him.
Meanwhile, Dong-jin is frustrated as well – Sun-woo told him that they might just be going out of business because it seems like the entire team is planning on leaving together. As he drinks at the restaurant from the other night, Woo-joo walks in. Seeing him drinking alone, she sits with him, and he breaks the silence by asking her why she isn’t saying anything – silence doesn’t suit her. She hits right back at him, and Woo-joo’s disgusted face from the office makes him laugh.

He opens up about his childhood, and his insecurities and Woo-joo gives him courage, assuring him that the business won’t go down because he’s the type who doesn’t go down without a fight. Her thoughtful reply makes him emotional.
Eventually, everyone at Best Fairs does end up leaving, leaving the office empty. The four remaining employees have lunch together, wondering what their next move will be. Sun-woo tells Dong-jin in private that Min-young wants to invest in the company. Dong-jin isn’t receptive to the idea and later contemplates calling his uncle.
He eventually calls Kang Jun for funding, who agrees without hesitation. It gives him a moral boost and reminds him of Woo-joo’s words of encouragement from the other night. Meanwhile, Min-young comes across Hee-ja in a department store, and the latter shamelessly asks her for money. That night, she goes to the office again and comes across Woo-joo.

The two sit down to chat, and Min-young informs her that she lives across the hall from Dong-jin – she moved into her old place. The confession fills up a gap for Woo-joo, and Min-young leaves after giving her this information. Woo-joo, meanwhile, looks baffled.
Call It Love Episode 6 Ending
The next morning, on her way to work, Woo-joo is left heartbroken at the news that Hee-ja is living in her house and she didn’t sell it off as she had said. Dong-jin finds a shocked Woo-joo right outside the office and then sees her walk off.
Dong-jin grows concerned when Woo-joo doesn’t show up for work and eventually gets a call from the estate agent telling him that the ‘daughter’ he has been searching for so long is coming there. Woo-joo, meanwhile, tries to break through her childhood home, having confirmed that the person she hates the most is now staying at her house.
Call It Love Episode 6 Review

With things getting complicated and several skeletons coming out of the closet, Call It Love episode 6 leaves us on a dramatic cliffhanger. With the way the story has picked up all of a sudden and the characters are being given more and more moments that shape their personalities, it is difficult to look away from the storyline that is unfolding.
I sympathise with both of our main characters here. The audience is slowly being fed information regarding them, and leads Lee Sung-kyung and Kim Young-kwang do an excellent job of bringing the characters forward. Their portrayal is very layered and really makes you reach out towards them.
Honestly, I am interested in watching how this unfolds. Considering the track record, will Dong-jin and Woo-joo be able to meet each other’s eyes after this shocking revelation? I guess we will just have to wait and watch.
That being said, I am waiting for the colour to magically change at this point and for me to stop getting this horrible headache after watching two back-to-back purple episodes.
Call It Love is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
