The Fabulous New Stills: Choi Min-ho and Chae Soo-bin’s Clique Give Us Major Squad Goals

The Fabulous is probably one of the most anticipated Korean dramas releasing towards the end of this year that has both kdrama and kpop fans intrigued. The lead casting choice is bringing SHINee’s Choi Min-ho back to the cinematic space alongside Chae Soo-bin, Lee Sang-woon and Park Hee-jung.

Directed by Kim Jung-hyun, who’s working with writers Kim Ji-hee and Im Jin-seon, the series hits the platform just in time for the holiday season, showcasing the millennial squad of four going through the ups and downs of life together as well as on their respective fronts. The four main characters’ professional inclinations have them linked to the same industry, with each of them playing a significant role therein.

Fans are hoping for all the episodes to be released in one go instead of the series following a weekly episodic formula. Juggling with various aspects of their lives on the same platter, Min-ho and Soo-bin’s characters specifically are going to be caught up in the years’ old tension of friendship turned romance, thereby endangering their circle’s dynamics.

The latest stills released by The Swoon are indeed swoon-worthy depicting the quartet squad in their playful togetherness, sitting beside a pool, hugging it out, taking a stroll or just going through waves of live as a unit. Netflix describes the upcoming as follows, “Four best friends chase their dreams in the competitive world of fashion while juggling demanding jobs, romantic dilemmas and wild nights on the town.”

Meet The Fabulous Characters

Starting off with Min-ho and Soo-bin, the two are about all smiles in the first still. The former plays Ji Woo-min, a photographer in the fashion space, while the latter plays Pyo Ji-eun, a marketing strategist. Then come along Lee Sang-woon as Joseph, a fashion designer and Park Hee-jung as Ye Seon-ho, right in the viewing centre of scrutiny as a model.

Choi Min-ho was previously seen in dramas like Lovestruck in the City (2020) and The Most Beautiful Goodbye (2017), while Chae Soo-bin showcased her talents in Rookie Cops (2022) and A Piece Of Your Mind (2020). Lee Sang-woon played Seo Ki-jung on Lovers of the Red Sky (2021), and as far as Park Hee-jung is concerned, having worked as a model previously, this series marks her acting debut.

The Fabulous starts streaming on Netflix on December 23, 2022, the perfect way to celebrate Christmas and end the year.
