Netflix doesn’t bow out of treating us with our beloved dose of Korean dramas and its bringing a brand new title to its roster with The Interest of Love starring Yoo Yeon-seok, Moon Ga-young, Keum Sae-rok and Jung Ga-ram. Also known as Understanding of Love or Sarangui Ihae, the series is based on the novel by Lee Hyuk-Jin, and it revolves around the four characters Ha Sang-soo, Ahn Soo-young, Park Mi-kyung, and Jung Jong-hyun.
Directed by Jo Young-min, the kdrama is once again bringing workplace romance to light, but only this time the stakes seem a bit higher and the overall mood rather sombre instead of the usual upbeat ‘flowers popping in your face’ vibe. The trailer for the same presents a dark setting, with the characters played by Ga-young and Yeon-seok keeping things lowkey.
Their unsaid bond takes a turn when they confess what they’re truly feel for each other, a mix of uncertainty, confusion and bliss. Holding hands in the dark, away from the spotlight and then finally giving in to it all and making the “mistake of giving (their) heart to someone (they) shouldn’t have.”
The official synopsis of the series reads, “Four men and women working at the same bank get entangled in a complicated romance as they discover how far they’re willing to go for love.” However, the trailer puts its focus solely on the track followed by the two titular actors, the other two will be revealed eventually.

Yoo Yeon-seok steps in as Ha Sang-soo, and is known for his previous roles Ahn Jung-won in both the seasons of Hospital Playlist. Other dramas for which he’s been credited for include Dr. Romantic, Reply 1994 and more. On the other hand, Moon Ga-young was the face of True Beauty as Lim Ju-kyung, and was also seen in Mirror of the Witch, Tempted and more.
