Love is Blind Season 3 (Ep 1-4) Review: Drama… Not Really

Love is Blind is a reality dating TV series hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey. Love is Blind season 3 has 10 episodes, each with a runtime of around 50 minutes.

Netflix describes the series as:

Nick and Vanessa Lachey host this social experiment where single men and women look for love and get engaged, all before meeting in person.

– Love is Blind Season 3 Review Does Not Contain Spoilers –

Love is Blind season 3 is back with a fresh batch of singles with their ovaries dancing and eyes glittering. The more we watch each batch of hopeful singles, the more we are left confused and relatively shocked. With the third season now live, the vibe this time seems to be having kids on priority and, that too, having a lot of kids.

This time around, the contestants are really dull. There’s just so little to keep you looking at the screen feeling scandalised, and there’s only so much baby talk that will keep you invested. However, I have noticed that once the contestants come out of the pods and the story moves forward a little is when the show picks up a bit of steam. The best is probably the silly wedding episodes and what comes after that.

Love is Blind Season 3

Plus, Love is Blind season 3, at 60 minutes per episode, drones on and on. The conversation isn’t half as interesting as they try to make it out to be, and with these boring conversations, it’s difficult to sit through these dull people talking about their feelings or whatever.

Last season, we had Shayne and Shaina kicking up a storm with their silly scandals. Or even the others, I mean, Jarrette choosing Iyanna second and telling her he loves her and then going around behind her back to flirt with Mallory, woof, give me some of that. Maybe we’ll get some sucky things later on, but for now, these episodes should’ve really been cut down to half their lengths.

There’s some interesting (read: tea) gossip when everyone finally meets, and the way they all look at their others dates should be illegal. I wonder what their wives will think about now that the show is live.

The problem with these shows is that they take these things so seriously, but honestly, once they are out of the pods, it’s like Tinder swiping all over again. You know they aren’t only looking at their personalities the moment they are out of the pods. It almost feels hypocritical. Plus, man, all of these people are just so drunk half of the time that you wonder whether any of them will act like this if they are completely sober.

But, honestly, at this point, maybe they will.

Love is Blind Season 3

Either way, Love is Blind season 3, much like the other iterations, features some shallow people who think that they are really woke, but when push comes to shove, their eyes dart as far as they can. The show wants to make you believe in the glitz and glam of love and romantic relationships, but if you pay close attention, there’s not much to see with these people that you haven’t seen before.

There are no in-depth and difficult conversations or the fear of getting married to a stranger in 30 days that you would typically expect from anyone in such situations. It’s a constant party and drinking binge with stupid conversations that go on for too long.

Regardless, maybe in the upcoming episodes, we will get the tea that we all require.

Summing Up: Love is Blind Season 3

Love is Blind season 3 is more of the same thing. It’s a show about drama that we don’t get to see much this time. So, we’re just stuck watching surface-level conversations that don’t matter in the long run. But then again, there’s still time for the drama to go a notch up.

Love is Blind season 3 is streaming on Netflix.
