With the fear of elimination looming over their heads, the cooks get started. It is an interesting pantry but, for a few of the cooks, it does not feel like a comfortable ride to be on. Alvin, Tommy and several others are thrown into a space out of their comfort zones. However, we see contestants such as Billie resonate well with the provided pantry at hand.

Just like in the previous episode, we see Marco visit the cooking stations of respective contestants as they get on with their cooking. He shares his words of wisdom to motivate the contestants to cook what’s best up their sleeve and guides them too. As the clock ticks, tension rises in the MasterChef kitchen but, the cooks are all able to timely finish their final dish and go up for tasting.

Julie is the first one to present her dish. It is a Fried Chicken with Red Currant Chilli Sauce and the judges particularly take a strong liking for the sauce giving out good feedback. Billie’s dish is next and it is Bloated Cripsy Potatoes with Beef Tartare and BBQ Meatloaf Sauce. The dish turns out to be a delicious one. Sarah’s dish is a Tartare which is flavourful and well received. Chilli Bugs by Mindy and Honey Parfait by Montana both receive good reviews from the judges.

Next up, Daniel comes in with a Minced Meat Pot Pie with Mushy Mint Peas. It was a risky take and, the judges, even though liked the pie, think that it lacks various other elements. Marco calls him an intelligent cook as the dish is one sophisticated piece to hand up in the MasterChef kitchen.

Harry’s dish is the last one and it is a Whole Baked Flounder with Herb Butter Sauce. The dish is neither glamorous nor balanced and the judges critique Harry for trying too hard.
