Netflix’s Elite Season 4 Review: More Hot Teenagers, Sex, Cheating, And Mysteries

Elite Season 4 starring new cast Carla Díaz, Martina Cariddi, Manu Ríos, Pol Granch, Diego Martín and Andrés Velencoso released on Netflix today. It also stars a few actors from the previous seasons’ cast like Itzan Escamilla, Miguel Bernardeau, Arón Piper, Mina El Hammani, Omar Ayuso, Claudia Salas and Georgina Amorós. The series has eight episodes of 45-50 minutes each.

When the makers announced the new cast, fans were worried about how the characters will blend in the story. But leave it to the writers to grab our attention into the series from the first episode itself. After watching Elite Short Stories, we already know that Carla-Samuel has broken up. Nadia and Guzmán struggle with a long-distance relationship, and Ander and Omar have cleared all their misunderstandings. My Elite Season 4 review has no spoilers.

Netflix’s Elite Season 4 starts with a few cops interrogating Guzmán (Miguel Bernardeau) about a girl lying in the swimming pool. It’s a classic Elite opening, and the rest of the episodes will show us all the drama and scandals that lead to this mishap. The girl in the swimming pool is Ari (Carla Díaz) new addition to Las Encinas. Her siblings Mencía and Patrick (Martina Cariddi and Manu Ríos) also join the high school, and their father, Benjamín (Diego Martín), is the new school principal.

Another new member joining Las Encinas is Phillipe (Pol Granch), who belongs to a royal family in the UK. These new students bring along a lot of drama, excitement, thrill and controversies in the lives of Guzmán, Samuel (Itzan Escamilla), Omar (Omar Ayuso), Ander (Arón Piper), Rebe (Claudia Salas) and Caye (Georgina Amorós).

Elite Season 4 Review: Trailer Still

Elite Season 4 stays true to its style of telling us the story. While unravelling the murder mystery, we get to see lots of parties, sex, cheating, fights and threesome. Fans often make fun of the series as the students in its school hardly study. But in the present season, Omar and Samuel have to give an exam to prove they deserve the scholarship. The new principal is quite strict but has a messed up relationship with his own kids.

Elite Season 4 Review: Still from the trailer

The trailer already showed us Guzmán and Ari hooking up; Omar, Ander and Patrick enjoying a steamy threesome, and Rebe finding love in Mencía. But every love story is twisted, full of many facepalm moments. The characters don’t know what they want or who they want almost all the time. While they’re still figuring out their ‘complicated feelings’, the makers have added some scenes in between about Ari’s investigation.

Elite Season 4 has everything that was expected. As an avid watcher of crime dramas, I figured out who the culprit is by the 4th episode. But it’s not an easy guess, so not all of you may figure this out. The new actors have done an incredible job of showing the same attitude as the previous actors. It’s like they’ve always been on the same sets for years. When some characters say goodbye, you know it’s a farewell of these actors for real.

Elite Season 4 Review: Is it worth watching?

Overall, the latest season will keep you hooked. If you’re aware of the genre and Elite universe, you know you’re in for the stories on hot, silly and messy teenagers. You don’t expect everything to make sense and enjoy their rich and happening lifestyle. The murder mystery makes it more interesting.

Elite Season 4 is currently streaming on Netflix.
