It is here, my fellow Korean series patrons, the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards 2023 are here, and we can all watch the ceremony from our homes supporting the cast members and the directors of some of our favourite shows this year. This awards ceremony specifically focuses on the wonderful television content that was released this year. There were a lot of good shows that came out, but The Glory and SNL Korea seems to have taken the nominating committee by storm.
All those series released from May 1, 2022, to May 31, 2023, were eligible for nominations. If they were produced and invested by an OTT platform, then they would be eligible for a nomination in this award ceremony. In the teaser, we can see the logos of the different streaming platforms making their appearance to suggest that all the series came from acclaimed platforms and ones that create good content.

2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards 2023 Presenters
This time the presenters’ list will include Joo Hyun-young, Park Chan-yeol, Koo Kyo-hwan, Jung Ho-yeon, Kim Shin-rok, Kim Sung-cheol, Lee Hak-joo, Lee Yu-bin, Kang Ho-dong, Song Eun-i, Lee Jung-jae, Kim Go-eun, Park Hyung-sik, Park Shin-hye, Jung Hae-in, Han Hyo-joo and Gong Hyo-jin. The presenters will go in pairs (except for the lattermost) to announce the different categories of the awards.

The awards categories include the Best New Male Entertainer, Best New Female Entertainer, Best New Actor, Best New Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Male Entertainer, Best Female Entertainer, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Entertainment Programme, Best Drama and finally, Blue Dragon’s Choice award.

2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards 2023 Main Nominees
Some of the shows and actors that are in the nominees include The Glory, which has gotten five nominations and is leading the list. It is swiftly followed by Big Best with four and Anna, Bargain, Bloody Game, Narco-Saints, and Transit Love 2 with three nominations. Duty After School, The Zone: Survival Mission and Shadow Detective have also made the list. Some popular actresses who are nominated include Jeon Yeo-been, Song Hye-kyo and Bae Suzy, alongside others. Male actors include Cha Eun-woo, Park Sung-hoon, EXO’s Doh Kyungsoo and Lee Kwang-soo, alongside others.
