A Bloody Lucky Day Plot

Adapted from the webtoon Unsuojinnal (운수 오진 날) by Aporia, the series centres around Oh Taek, a taxi driver whose life takes an unexpected turn after a vivid dream featuring pigs, symbols of good fortune. Encouraged by this omen, he ventures to the market to purchase a lottery ticket, believing that wealth awaits him that day. Amidst his routine work, fate intervenes when a mysterious passenger named Geum Hyuk-soo seeks his services, offering a hefty sum to drive him to the port city of Mokpo. Unbeknownst to Oh Taek, Hyuk-soo harbours a sinister secret—he is a murderer seeking escape by stowing away on a boat.

When confronted, Geum Hyuk-soo casually mentions his act of taking lives with ease, and when asked if Oh Taek is his next target, Hyuk-soo assures him of safety if he facilitates his journey. As the lives of these individuals collide, a riveting tale of chance, deceit, and the pursuit of justice unfolds during a high-stakes taxi ride, laden with moral dilemmas and life-changing repercussions.

A Bloody Lucky Day Cast

The series stars Lee Sung-min as Oh Taek, Yoo Yeon-seok as Geum Hyuk-soo, and Lee Jung-eun as Hwang Soon-kyu in lead roles, with Hong Xa-bin, Han Dong-hee, Lee Kang-ji and others playing supporting roles. The drama is directed by Pil Gam-seong and written by Kim Min-sung and Song Han-na.

A Bloody Lucky Day Episode 1, is set to premiere on tvN on November 20, 2023. It will also be available for streaming on TVING and is expected to be released later on Paramount+ for international viewers. The series will air every Monday and Tuesday.
