Wonderful World Episode 8 Recap and Review: Seon-yul begins his plans to bring Soo-hyun’s downfall, starting with an earth-shattering truth. Directed by Lee Seung-young, the drama stars Kim Nam-joo, Cha Eun-woo, Kim Kang-woo, Im Se-mi, Won Mi-kyung, and other cast members.
Wonderful World (원더풀 월드) is a thriller mystery that tells the story of a mother who stands up to get justice herself when the system fails her. However, she soon finds many others who are encouraged to walk the same road as her, beginning a series of cases that finally get justice and people who heal.

Wonderful World Episode 8 Recap
The masks are off the faces and Soo-hyun conveys to Seon-yul that he can mess with her as much as he wants but he better stay away from her family. However, Seon-yul is not convinced as his family was ruined when he lost his father to which Soo-hyun tells him that she too lost her son.
The auro between the two has changed and now Soo-hyun needs to find a way to free Seon-yul from his mess. After understanding Seon-yul’s intentions, Soo-hyun focuses on treating her family better and takes her two mothers for oriental treatment. There, her mother-in-law asks Su-ho if he likes Soo-hyun so much to which he tells her that she is the one who likes her more than him.
Elsewhere, Seon-yul is triggered by Soo-hyun’s warning and is ready to take his plan until one of them meets their end. Having waited all this time to let Soo-hyun’s happiness ripen, he is now on the road to making her fall and destroy her once and for all. The next day, Soo-hyun meets the psychiatrist who gave her Seon-yul’s details.

The psychiatrist reveals the truth and apologises for her behaviour, but Soo-hyun makes her realise the drastic situation Seon-yul is in which he needs to be freed from. She then takes the information of the real fire victim and makes her way to save another life. She meets him and tells him to change his life so that his parents can live through him.
She then hands over some contact information and later calls the psychiatrist to let her know that he will be resuming treatment soon. Meanwhile, Seon-yul is asked to deliver a package to Kim Joon from Hye-geum. He takes the package but hands it over to his friend who quickly finds the pen drive hidden in it and transfers the information from it.
He then delivers the package and confesses that he is the one who sent the pictures to Soo-hyun and her mother. Kim Joon is convinced that he is someone on the road to revenge while Seon-yul assures him that he will get revenge on everyone who ruined his parent’s lives. Elsewhere, Su-ho’s friend hands him a picture of Seon-yul with Soo-hyun which makes Su-ho curious.
He later questions her at home and she tells him that he is the one she handed her diary over to. He then tells her to stay away from him and later secretly checks on information about the fire victim. The next day, Soo-hyun visits Tae-ho and comes across the political rally held by Kim Joon.
She meets Tae-ho and tries to get more information about Seon-yul. He then reveals that Seon-yul’s mother has been moved into the VIP ward and it is none other than Kim Joon who did this. Following this visit, Soo-hyun and Kim Joon are seen going the same way and Soo-hyun is surprised to see Kim Joon entering Hye-geum’s house.
On the other hand, Kim Joon hugs Hye-geum and tells her to leave the country as soon as possible as he cannot let anything block his way to political success. Meanwhile, another political rival is out of the game which creates issues for Su-ho who then decides to bring Kim Joon on the show.
The next day, Su-ho and Soo-hyun notice someone in front of his car. The stranger asks them for the dashcam footage from Su-ho’s car which can be helpful to him. Su-ho hands it over to Soo-hyun and asks her to help him out. Later, Soo-hyun checks the day’s footage mentioned by the man.
She gets nothing but is attracted by the footage towards the end. Soo-hyun tries to check it out but a commotion outside catches her attention and she rushes out. It is Hye-geum’s son who is having a seizure and Soo-hyun helps him out until Hye-geum arrives. The two then take the boy back home and Soo-hyun is attracted by a picture which was taken on the day mentioned in the picture sent by Seon-yul.

Wonderful World Episode 8 Ending
Hye-geum notices what she is looking at and confesses that she is not the woman in the picture but takes the blame as Su-ho is helping her and her son and has asked her for this favour. She tells her that Su-ho told her that he is trying to save Soo-hyun by not letting her know who is the woman in the picture.
However, doubts are arising in Soo-hyun’s head as she thinks of the worst possible case. Elsewhere, Su-ho finds out that Kim Joon is ready to be on his show and a package sent by his friend. Upon opening it, his doubts come true as Seon-yul’s real identity is now known to him as well.
Meanwhile, Seon-yul has something new planned for Soo-hyun, who at the moment understands that Seon-yul has tried to show her something. However, she takes the disk and goes to Yu-ri’s boutique where she calms herself to check the video that has been on her mind since earlier.
While she checks the video, a face enters Yu-ri’s shop which brings back her worst nightmares- her birth mother. While Yu-ri struggles with the woman, Soo-hyun gets up to check on the commotion but is stopped when she hears what Su-ho said to Yu-ri a few days back. He has confirmed that the woman in the picture is Yu-ri, which leaves Soo-hyun shattered.
Wonderful World Episode 8 Review
Another weekend comes to an end and the real face-off begins as Soo-hyun and Seon-yul tackle each other, while it is the latter who is attacking the most at the moment. However, Soo-hyun’s efforts to fix Seon-yul won’t be easy which must be why her psychology background comes into play.
Meanwhile, the episode gave away the suspense that Yu-ri was the one whom Su-ho cheated on Soo-hyun. The suspense was lacking to a large extent but the show keeps you intrigued to know how far the two can go from here on.
Altogether, this was yet another wonderful episode and we are looking forward to the upcoming episodes.

Totally agree with your comments. Seon-yul is a villian and a stalker. In my country stalking is a crime where you can be jailed. He has misdirected anger. He should be mad at his father who killed a child and didn’t care too much. That’s why he’s had a crap life. In the end all his so called plans will crash down on top of him. As for the husband and Soo-hyon sister. The worst betrayal. Honestly, what a couple of shit heads. It’s a great series and so well acted by everyone involved. My blood pressure goes through the roof watching it. Cheers
