Flex X Cop Episode 15 Recap and Review: The new series directed by Kim Jae-hong, known for his hits Revenant and written by Kim Ba-da, who is well known for her successful series My Name, is highly welcomed in the Kdrama world. The exceptional collab between the famous director and the writer stars famous actors, Ahn Bo-hyun, Park Ji-hyun, Kang Sang-jun and Kim Shin-bi, in the lead roles. It’s a mix of action, romance, comedy and thriller genres, making the whole watch worthwhile.
Ahn Bo-hyun’s last venture was See You In My 19th Life (2023), Park Ji-hyun was last seen in Reborn Rich (2022), Kang Sang-jun’s ongoing series is Marry My Husband (2024) and Kim Shin-bi’s last work was Revenant (2023).
Flex X Cop Plot
Jin I-soo, born into a third-generation conglomerate, enjoys a life of abundance, devoid of the need for assistance from others. His world takes an unexpected turn when he becomes embroiled in a complex case. Driven by the desire for a new challenge, Jin I-soo makes a surprising decision.
Opting to immerse himself in the gritty world of crime-solving, Jin I-soo joins the Kangha Police Station’s violent investigative team, specialists in apprehending robbers. His motivation is to leverage his wealth and personal connections to make a difference in the field. In this venture, he partners with Detective Lee Gang-hyun, a dedicated and adept investigator known for his smooth-talking skills.
Despite I-soo’s affluent background, Gang-hyun remains indifferent to his presence, setting the stage for a compelling partnership rooted in the pursuit of solving crimes and bringing perpetrators to justice. As they delve into the intricacies of their work, the narrative promises a blend of wealth, intrigue, and the challenges inherent in the world of criminal investigation.

Flex X Cop Episode 15 Recap
When I-soo meets Myeong-cheol the night before his death, he blames him for his mother’s death. Myeong-cheol tells I-soo that he wanted to divorce Heeja and live with Kim before her death. However, Isoo doesn’t believe him and leaves. Soon after, in the morning, we see Myeong-cheol’s PA finding him dead.
When I-soo researches about his mother’s death he notices there are no pills in the scene. He informs about this and the secret spot where he hid his mother’s pills to Kang-hyun. Right then, officers come in and inform I-soo about his father’s death. Reporters start swarming him and break his heart by mentioning both his parents’ suicide.
At Myeong-cheol’s funeral, Heeja blames I-soo, accusing him of driving his father to suicide. Seng-ju intervenes, urging his mother to step away. I-soo apologizes to Seng-ju and invites him to stay, but I-soo declines and returns home, reminiscing about his parents. I-soo recalls his father giving him a compass, advising him to choose the right path. He finds a letter from his father to his mother, expressing regret and desire for a better life.
After Myeong-cheol’s death, the lawyer reveals changes to the will. Myeongcheol may have excluded Sengju, favoring Isoo as the next chairman of the Hansu Group. This makes Mr. Choi suspicious of Seung-ju and Heeja. Kang-hyun investigates further, discovering similarities between Myeong-cheol’s death and Kim’s death 25 years ago. She learns there were no pills at Myeong-cheol’s place, suggesting foul play. I-soo and Kang-hyun discuss the case, questioning whether Heeja or Seng-ju is responsible.

During their conversation, I-soo recalls his father offering him a drink, unaware of any pills. Kang-hyun informs him no pills were found, prompting a reinvestigation. When Mr. Choi mentions Heeja’s pill consumption, suspicions rise. As detectives dig deeper, they find details about a car that arrived at Myeong-cheol’s private villa at 1 am on the night of his death.
I-soo seeks therapy to recall the night of his mother’s death. He remembers Heeja assaulting his mother and suspects his father planned to divorce her. Mr. Choi reveals that Myeong-cheol knew about Sengju’s true parentage but accepted Heeja. Mr. Choi follows Seng-ju, causing a car accident to investigate. He discovers Seng-ju removed an SD card from the car, arousing suspicion.
I-soo meets up with Seung-ju and tells that Heeja visited his late mother 25 years ago on the night of his mother’s death. Seung-ju visits his mother Heeja at the hospital and asks about her visit to I-soo’s mother 25 years ago to which she asks whether he killed Myeong-cheol. He confesses his crime in a threatening manner and kindly warns his mother. The episode ends with Seung-ju becoming the chairman of Hansu Group and I-soo watches him from the audience.
Flex X Cop Episode 15 Review
The episode finally opens to the audience with the real villain of the series Seung-ju who has his own set of traumas and past that led him to take the final decision. According to his mindset, he’d do anything to protect his loved ones. Not that he doesn’t like his brother I-soo but he still wants to take care of his selfish mother. Additionally, since he was groomed in such a manner to become the Hansu Group chairman, his motives became evil.
I-soo is still unaware of Seung-ju’s share in the scene and when the truth unravels, a battle between the brothers will start. Now that there is official news about Flex X Cop season 2, we sure know that the rivalry will continue and the climax will be towards the end of season 2. Until then, stay tuned for the last episode of the first season and its revelations.
