Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin is the Best Villain of All Time, Say MCU Fans

The article contains some spoilers from Spider-Man: No Way Home. Willem Dafoe returned as Green Goblin, aka Norman Osborn, in Tom Holland’s latest MCU film. In Tobey Maguire’s Spidey universe, Dafoe’s Goblin was one of the main villains. But if you’ve watched Holland’s latest, you know that he causes havoc even this time.

When Peter Parker attempts to help the villains from different universes, it is Dafoe’s Green Goblin who fools everyone. The actor terrifies us all over again with his evil laugh and creepy smiles and expressions. Dafoe’s powerful voice also helps in making the Goblin appear more frightening.

After watching No Way Home, many fans have shared their reaction to Willem’s outstanding act. A lot of fans have tweeted that Green Goblin is the best villain in the MCU of all time. One person wrote, “Still thinking about how Willem Dafoe understood the assignment again, two decades later. Goat Absolutely killed it. #GreenGoblin”.

Another fan wrote, “I think it’s safe to say that #GreenGoblin in #SpiderManNoWayHome is by far the BEST version to date. Willem nailed it playing Norman Osborn! His outfit was great and he freaking kicks ass here!”

Well, as someone who has seen the movie and reviewed it, I agree with the fans. Willem does creep the hell out of you with his scary laugh and terrifying act.
