The trailer for the upcoming crime drama thriller Wild is the Wind has been released on youtube and other official platforms. The story of the film is centred around two cops who find themselves amidst corruption and prejudice. Moreover, the film has a running time of two hours and three minutes.
The cast of the film includes Mothusi Magano, Frank Rautenbach, Chris Chameleon, Mona Monyane, Deon Coetzee, Michelle Douglas, Brendon Daniels, Phoenix Baaitse, Campbell Meas, Nicola Hanekom, Louw Venter, Erica Wessels, Renate Stuurman, Izel Bezuidenhout and Nicolaus Moitoi.

The one-minute and forty-three seconds trailer start off with a remark about a socially segregated small town. The remark is given by one of the two cops standing on a cliff and observing the entire habituated place. The cop says that the place can never outgrow the inherent hate that it carries for others.
Right after this deep sentence, the footage shifts to a crime scene. A young Afrikaans girl gets brutally murdered by an unknown killer and sparking an environment of terror. The case gets high priority as the victim is revealed to have a connection with the deputy, which makes it a must-solve inter-department case.

The two cops spotted at the start of the trailer work together as partners to solve the case urgently. However, one of them ends up going too far and makes a wrongful arrest of a Black teenager. The cop pins several grave charges against the innocent kid and tries to wrap up the case.
The trailer then shifts drastically in tone and provides flashes of torture and violence. It indicates that the cops have gone rogue, and implemented their own version of the story for their personal benefit.

Notably, we can also observe an unsettled matter between the cops, that might add a subplot to the story. It also hints that there is more to the story than it appears.
Even though the second cop appears to be uninvolved with the ongoing charade, he has a malicious intent of his own. We can deduce from the series of montages that both these cops are corrupt and motivated by greed and money.
Eventually, the wrongful intent of the law holders makes a mockery of justice. However, the cops are not spared of the consequences and find themselves tangled in a complicated situation. Furthermore, the trailer ends with a suspenseful note and keeps the thriller element of the story intact.
