Welcome to Samdal-ri (웰컴투 삼달리) is a Korean rom-com with a story that is as beautiful as the wide sea that is here to bring together two lost souls. Directed by Cha Young-hoon, the drama stars Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hye-sun, Seo Hyun-chul, Kim Mi-hwa, Yang Kyung-won, and Baek Hyun-joo alongside other cast members.

The Kdrama brings the life of two islanders who return home after experiencing tragic loss and a wish to make a change. As the two work towards their goals, these prior best friends find a moment to rekindle their friendship and maybe something more. Watch as Jo Yong-pil and Jo Sam-dal find new meanings to life with their unexpected encounter.

Welcome to Samdal-ri Episode 9 Prediction

Everyone worries for Mi-ja while the town speaks of the sea taking away another one. Elsewhere, Yong-pil finally bursts out in frustration over what has happened in front of his father. However, Sang-tae expects him to resent Mi-ja as well after what happened to his mother. Meanwhile, Mi-ja speaks of the sea as the place she fears the most as it was this sea that took away her closest friend.

Welcome to Samdal-ri Episode 8 Recap

Sang-tae’s anger and resentment continue to keep Yong-pil away from Sam-dal while Mi-ja worries over the situation. The next day, these worries endanger her life during her dive but she is rescued on time. Meanwhile, Sam-dal becomes suspicious about her health. Elsewhere, Dae-young tries to meet Jin-dal but is shocked when he comes across her with Ha-yul who calls her mom.

She later clears it to him that Ha-yul is her niece and tells him to focus more on the company as he needs to clear up the mess she caused. Meanwhile, Sam-dal questions Yong-pil about her mother’s health but get nothing from him. She soon gets distracted when they come across their friends who begin discussing the photography exhibition Yong-pil has been pushing her towards.

Gyeong-tae then shows her pictures she clicked in the past which finally pushes her into registering the next day, However, a change in the weather worries Yong-pil which only becomes worse when he finds out that Mi-ja is missing. He soon sends help to their location and informs them about Mi-ja’s heart condition which is overheard by Sam-dal.

Yong-pil pushes Sam-dal to rush to her mother while her sisters also find out about what has happened. Sang-tae sees an ambulance and the women running which makes him worried as he too rushes to the seaside. There, everyone has gathered as they look for Mi-ja to make it back alive.

The series will stream from December 2, 2023, to January 21, 2024. Episode 9 of the series will stream on December 30 at 10:30 PM KST (8:30 PM IST).

Welcome to Samdal-ri Plot

The synopsis of the show reads: “After a scandal shakes her world, a hot shot photographer takes an unexpected detour from the demanding life in Seoul and makes a spontaneous return to her long-avoided Jeju Island hometown.”

The story brings a heartwarming and slow romance of a comic duo who have been friends forever but soon find themselves at a place where they know that they both need something else. Given this second chance, will the two hold on to what is in front of them?

Welcome to Samdal-ri Cast

Directed by Cha Young-hoon, the drama stars Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hye-sun, Seo Hyun-chul, Kim Mi-hwa, Yang Kyung-won, and Baek Hyun-joo alongside other cast members.

Following his groundbreaking role in The Worst of Evil, Ji Chang-wook is back again with a different genre that shows a different side of this versatile actor. Accompanying him in creating this magic is the wonderful Shin Hye-sun who left us awestruck with her role in See You in My 19th Life, and is back with more for us all.
