Honoring the 75 years of Rajshri Productions, Sooraj Barjatya’s Uunchai, an adventurous tale of friendship, has finally introduced Parineeti Chopra’s character Shraddha Gupta. With each actor receiving their own solo poster for this outing, the Bollywood maestro Amitabh Bachchan was the first cast member to be revealed last week.
Rajshri Films has brought some prominent family dramas to the spotlight like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Hum Saath Saath Hain, and more. The upcoming film too will feature its signature thematic thrust of friendship driving the storyline with three best friends – Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher -who embark on a trek to the Base Camp Everest, despite their old age.

On October 16, 2022, the production house as well as the actress herself took to her Instagram and Twitter to express her gratitude for being chosen as one in the mix by Barjatya for his latest comeback. Her caption on these posts reads, “Extremely grateful and forever indebted to Sooraj Sir for giving me Shraddha in his #Uunchai. I grew up watching his films, and today I am starring in one.. Pinch me!”
Even Arjun Kapoor, Chopra’s first co-star in Ishaqzaade, shared a loving shoutout on his Instagram, “She was my first co-star, she was my first heroine and this is her first #Rajshri film. This is to all the beautiful firsts. This one is for you Pari! With all heart, I bring to you, my dear friend Parineeti as Shraddha Gupta from #Uunchai! A special film by Sooraj Barjatya. See you at the movies on 11.11.22. Love and luck to Team Uunchai!”
