Unseen is an upcoming South African thriller series created by Daryne Joshua, and Travis Taute, which revolves around a cleaning lady’s desperate search to find her missing husband. The series is produced by the makers of Blood and Water and stars Gail Mabalane in the leading role of Zenzi Mwale.
Moreover, the complete cast of the series includes Brendon Daniels, Hein De Vries, Waldemar Schultz, Vuyo Dabula, Ilse Klink, Colin Moss, Mothusi Magano, Abduragman Adams and Shimmy Isaacs.
The trailer for the crime thriller series unravels the journey of a shy and underconfident Zenzi, who finds out about the news of her missing husband, on the very day of his release from prison. This unexpected chain of events set her on the path of a dangerous search, filled with unexpected turns.
The series attempts to showcase the trajectory of Zenzi from a harmless individual transitioning into someone willing to cross any extremes for the sake of her partner. The trailer of the show exudes the spirit of vengeance, suspense, and fear while keeping us completely engrossed with the forthcoming cliffhangers.
Notably, Gail Mabalane was last seen in the third season of the South African drama series Blood and Water, written by Nosipho Dumisa-Ngoasheng, Daryne Joshua, and Travis Taute. Her character in the series represents Puleng’s mother, played by South African actress Ama Qamata.

The first and second half of the trailer offers a subtle distinction between Zenzi’s personality and also form room for character development. Initially, the role played by Gail Mabalane is depicted as a helpless identity, looking for some unresolved answers about her husband.
However, the next half completely changes the tone of her character and transforms her into a confident individual, who opts to take matters into her own hands. Zenzi decides to battle out the crime syndicate (the group behind the dissapereance) using her own strength and resources, even without the help of the authorities.
All in all, the trailer of the series promises a worthy binge filled with some action-packed sequences underlined through an engaging story. At last, it also dives deep into the themes of revenge and final resolution.
