Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister Episode 3 Recap

The official marriage meetings have begun, and Uryu must divide his attention equally among the three girls. The first to meet him is Asahi, the youngest of the group. Initially, Uryu assumes she is too young to fully grasp the situation, thinking he doesn’t need to take the meeting too seriously. However, Asahi surprises him with her playful nature, proving to be far more mischievous than he anticipated.

Asahi takes great delight in teasing Uryu and quickly embraces the matchmaking scenario, fully engaging in it. She even suggests they go for a run together, turning it into a playful race. Later, she ropes him into helping her in the storehouse, where, in a rather typical turn of events, they end up accidentally trapped and spending time alone. After this, Uryu moves on to his next marriage meeting with the second sister.

Yuna approaches the meeting with a completely different attitude, treating it as a serious obligation. She adopts an overly polite demeanour, acting more ladylike than usual and attempting to engage with Uryu in a friendlier manner than he’s used to. This sudden shift in behaviour leaves Uryu feeling uneasy, and it’s only later that he uncovers the reason behind her actions. Finally, Uryu meets with the eldest sister, and this encounter goes more smoothly compared to the previous ones.

Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister Episode 4 Review And Recap

Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister Episode 4 Review

The Amagami sisters face a grave situation that involves their beloved shrine, as it has not been very lucrative for a long time. It does not attract as many viewers as it did since the time of the past generation’s priestess, who also happens to be the mother of the Amagami sisters. Hence, it was being taken care of by a supporter from the respected Kitashirakawa clan, Miemon. Now that the shrine does not attract as many visitors and the money coming into it is just unacceptable, he informs the sisters that they must put the shrine up for sale.

Uryu bravely goes against this decision and challenges what if 5000 visitors come during the upcoming festival. Hearing this, Miemon definitely gives them a last chance to prove their worth but also adds that he will take the house as well as the shrine if they fail. In such a dire situation, they must use whatever tactics they have in their arsenal.

Even though Uryu has no interest or attachment to the shrine or the gods, he is still very much attached to the sisters. He understands how important the shrine is for them and, thus, he steps up to help them with their predicament. Instead of immersing himself in his studies, he researches all the ways he can attract as many visitors as possible. He eventually realises he must use the power of social media and generate more engagement on the shrine’s website.

Verdict

Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister Episode 4 Review

Whether or not he becomes successful in his endeavour is something that you will have to watch in this episode. Today’s episode was also very much romance-focused, and our hero had a lot more intimate moments with Yae, the older sister, than with others. It is apparent that he’s attracted to her, and she also feels some type of way for him.
