The trailer for the upcoming Luv Ranjan directorial Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has been released on Youtube and other social media platforms. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the leading role alongside Shraddha Kapoor and features them in a romantic plot, with a classic twist. Moreover, the flick is written by Rahul Mody and Luv Ranjan and produced by him, Ankur Garg, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar.
Notably, Pritam serves as the composer of the film while the lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Furthermore, the movie is produced under the banner of Luv Films and T-Series Films and distributed by Yash Raj Films.
The official trailer finds the character of Ranbir Kapoor as a commitment-phobic guy who prefers to be in a non-serious relationship and avoids messy situations. Moreover, his life takes a complete U-Turn when Shraddha Kapoor’s character makes an appearance in his life and changes the looming perspectives of the heartthrob.
The twist in the story arrives when it is revealed that both protagonists have a similar mindset about romance, and yet end up in an unexpected situation. What follows next, is a fun-filled game of comebacks and one-upmanship, between the leading characters.
Popular stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi will also be seen making his debut in the film. The Youtube comedy sensation plays the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s best friend in the movie and helps him to turn the tide in his favour. Furthermore, his character doesn’t miss any chance to roast his friend, just like in his real-life stand-up clips.
The rest of the cast includes veteran Hindi film actress Dimple Kapadia, who plays the role of Ranbir’s mother in the movie. Moreover, notable producer and filmmaker Boney Kapoor will also be making his acting debut with the flick, playing the role of the protagonist’s father.
All in all, the trailer exudes all vibes of a Luv Ranjan film and promises to be another sharp entertainer. Notably, Ranjan has previously helmed hit films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety in the past.
